When you have 7 championships and 72 wins you can call it whatever the fuck you want to call it. Im am sick of people being disrespectful to the greats of this sport.
Producer: "Okay Soul Indigo, here's the script for this cookie cutter paid advertisement segment for this weekend's broadcast to fill down time. We're trying to build some brand recognition around the SuperMotocross name so we're gonna inject it into a couple of places through out."
Soul Indigo: "What kind of floozy do you take me for? I'm core bro, take that paycheck and shove it up your ass. I'm outta here!"

He is far more invested in this than you are.
I am sick of the greats of this sport being used as ringleaders of a circus. Or rather, them choosing the job, hence the title of the thread.
Invested is right. It’s a big ol’ club and you and I aren’t in it.
Are the manufacturers going to start calling them supermotocross bikes in their marketing campaigns? Is the entire industry in the midst of gaslighting us?
It’s fair to hold your perspective. It’s also fair that I express mine.
I can only imagine how annoying it has to be for MC to answer the same questions over and over again. Jett has 5 SX wins, let’s check back in on the record when he has 50.
Words are not so simple. Language creates our reality.
I am not butthurt. Simply another disappointing yet useful moment that entered my awareness. All good...

Words actually are that simple...he said "supermotocross bikes," not the N-word. No one was hurt, and no one was insulted (well, except for you calling the King a whore...). It'll be ok.
It is like gaslighting the fans, oh so for 50 years they were "motocross" bikes and now they are "supermotocross" bikes 😂 suddenly in 2023 it changed for $$$ reasons from FELD ENTERTAINMENT. it actually does matter, since the sport wasn't just invented last year.
The King can say anything he wants, he has earned it! Vitards calling out the King is oxymoronic.
You've misunderstood what oxymorons are. But beside that, MC calling it a supermotocross bike is a sell out move. They're not even really called supercross bikes. They're motocross bikes, or dirtbikes as Americans like to say. If MC had invented the term supermotocross bike for his own idiosyncratic reasons that would be weird, but fine. The fact is he's doing it for Kenneth Feld's money.
For a TV broadcast that it's trying to appeal to new audiences, always explaining thing for people who have never watched a race, the only thing they are doing with calling everything as "SuperMotocross" is confusing newbies more, does a new fan know the diference between Supercross, Motocross and SuperMotocross? Does he now there is a Supercross, motocross and Supermotocross champion? And the world champion is the Supermotocross champion? But apparently the Supermotocross World champion isn't the only World champion because according to the broadcast Tom vialle is a 2 time World champion in MXGP, thank god that when they talk about MXGP they don't say the "Motocross World Championship", they say MXGP of GPs in Europe, because calling it Motocross World Championship would be even more confusing.
Should be called AMA Supercross, AMA Motocross and AMA Grand National Championship, period.
For as much as we talk about how tough motocrossers are, some of you sure do seem to get butthurt over simple words...
It’s unbelievable how many sensitive Karen’s are on these forums. So easily triggered. Whether it’s constantly complaining about the announcing/coverage. Or 6th place being interviewed after a main etc…

I really don't believe anyone is triggered, it is just bringing up conversation points, that's all. Isn't that what forums like this are for? And you heard it here first - Super - Duper - Cross! Yes, I am a prostitute.
I’m certain that MC’s financial well being doesn’t depend on him kowtowing to DC & Feld!
If you add up career earnings of a star who came after MC, you’d have to knock a zero off the end to possibly get down to MC’s total earnings. He made a lot less money than those who followed.
having MC in the booth for even 5 minutes was legendary. RC even got excited to have him there, having him do the science of super cross and not be a weekly contributor to the actual calling of the races is criminal in my opinion.
He sure did
Wonder what his politics are . .
Politics are prostitution.

Not if you believe in a small government, contract and property rights, or a strong border
Here we go

If I wanted to talk politics, I'd get on the Vital site. Oh wait...
This thread would have an entirely different reaction if it was Leigh diffey who called it a super motocross bike.
how dare you check the king.
I'd say much worse for a paycheck and not feel the least bit guilty about it. Who gives a shit....?
