In reality it doesn't take much to have a "concussion" by normal (non-moto) peoples standards. Most of us on this board probably have a pretty elevated definition of what a "concussion" is.
I know a guy from work who took multiple weeks off after bumping his head into something around the house. 100% guarantee that smack smith took from the triple fits the clinical definition of a concussion

Pretty easy to call a spade a spade. Or is smith just a jackass who pulls onto the track in front of multiple people without looking?
Black flag is almost exclusively reserved for bad conduct. The powers that be don't really want to raise any additional awareness to the concussion problem in the sport, other than pretending like they solved it by making them solve puzzles in an online test or something.
I guess better to assume he just figured it would be faster/better to ride the track side to side instead of in a straight line after hitting his head 🤷♂️

You could argue it's bad conduct to cut across a rhythm lane without looking to see if any traffic is coming through.
I don't know if he was concussed, but he certainly appeared to lose awareness of his surroundings based on his attempts to get back on the track after the subsequent crash. Call it whatever you want.

No need to argue about it. It's stupid. It doesn't matter if you're on a racetrack or changing lanes on the highway. Always check your surroundings. He didn't even glance back.
He's lucky no one landed on him.
