We're racing dirtbikes... If it rains, it rains. It's the same for everyone. No I don't want them every week, but it's not the end of the world.
For those old enough to remember the CMC Golden State race at Madera... At least 10 bikes got stuck in a rut and were left on the track each moto. 1/3 of the track couldn't be run, it was under 3' of water.

Looks like this is the only 2 week break the Sounders have for home games until May. That probably has a lot to do with why its in March and not April.
I hear the complaints though. We're a family of four in North Seattle, we take a town car(they show up when you reserve and pretty much the same price as an uber) to the stadium for the night show, then uber/lyft/cab back home. If we go for the whole day, by the time the night show rolls around I'm the only one interested in staying.
North Seattle, light rail you say. Sure, if I'm heading in for work, or to party with friends. Not worth putting the kids in that shit show late on a Saturday night.
Pro tip for the guy bitching about people getting up in front of him throughout the night. Buy seats in one of those short rows by the stairs with only 4 or 5 seats. Ticketmaster wouldn't let me buy just 4 of the 5, so I just bought the 5th one too. Now only I can piss myself off when I have to get up to go to the bathroom or grab another beer

Normal for Seattle. I went to maybe 18 races there, and I'd guess 14-15 of them had rain before or during.

But whats the dirt like? It probably wont be clay so it will be loose dirt that ruts up badly vs a greasy mud or a soupy mud.

Sorry. But, this is incorrect. T-Mobile has a retractable roof. When open the roof extends to the east towards the railroad tracks. But, it can cover the entire stadium floor within a few minutes.

Well, I'll be dammed. I went to a Mariners game a couple years ago. Couldn't really imagine a roof. But after some serious google inspecting, I see it.
When it comes to weather I like to either see a torrential downpour and watch how pros fight the track and have to seriously manage the clutch and engine to not blow or have nothing and be completely dry or damp. Just for entertainment purposes. Either way I am absolutely against having every race in domed stadiums. That would almost be like travelling with the same exact dirt to every round, I like the difference in dirt from west to midwest to east coast.
I always hated riding in the slop but mostly because I was on a 85 so the big bikes made the ruts so damn deep my footpegs would just drag and couldn't do any jumps at all.
Ive been the last 3 years in a row, never got rained on.
Decided to sit this year out back in 2023 because I figured I had ran out of good luck for Seattle sx weather.
There is a retractable roof at T-mobile.
They're literally building the track out of mud...and its only Tuesday.
