I understand he had surgery on Sunday and was planning to sit this race out, but be in for Foxborough. Maybe he has changed his mind? Trying to garner a few points, just in case?

Or high five his mechanic and just belly laugh about it. I'd wait though. Gotta let stuff like that simmer a spell before you dish it back out. But rest assured, BabyBoy would be getting as good as he gave.

Moto GP guys have raced two days after with a plated collarbone, different forces compared to SX but they are under insane forces under breaking. Pretty sure once its plated its just a pain tolerance thing.. Moto GP guys there is millions on the line, for Schock the stakes arent as high but no doubt he wants to race.

Once it’s plated almost no pain. It’s crazy tight though.

The young man is a throwback to a forgotten time. It makes me well up a bit honestly.

Im not sure if he’s going to lineup but it wouldn’t shock me. Kid is tough as nails.

If he won a heat with a fracture I got $20 that says he sends it with a plate.

I take it you've never raced a sport bike. Under braking, you're controlling your body position mostly with your knees against the tank, that's why a lot of races run grippers on the sides of the tank. There's some arm/chest strength needed to keep your body from folding over forward, but not as much as you might think.

After I doled out his comeuppance, I'd rock a 'Schock Me' butt patch and buy a small PA system to aim towards his pit to blast the KISS classic at full tilt. But I'm a spiteful cuss like that.

Nowadays every one of these riders are beasts. I’ve seen them in the weight room and they blew my mind with how much weight they where using for bench press and squats.

Better to put it on the back burner until SLC, then really make it count when it matters most

Not to mention the wind trying to rip you off the bike when you come out from under the bubble! That happened to me once on a 600. Nearly blew me right off the bike!

Think the bone calcium has to have some time to build up around the screw threads, or else it turns into a much bigger problem.

Speedy recovery, Schock.
