Well my bad I didn’t read your initial post correctly I guess. It’s a little ambiguous, and I read it like you were asking for thoughts on the polisport restyle kits. They absolutely have been selling those for years. I ordered one in 2022, which looks very similar to what your initial post included, just no seat or tank. And I was just throwing it out there that for my 03 YZ125, I had to drill holes for the YZ-F style front fender, and the fork guards aren’t the correct bolt pattern.

Metz you bought a restyle kit to change your 2002-2014 bike to a 2015-2021 design. Scrub will be selling a kit to convert to 2022+ design.

The color range these days is being seriously reduced by all plastics manufacturers.  We had loads of options for many bikes, but, guys seem to want only 'standard', or black/white.   We still have some cool mixes, and will soon introduce some really killer exclusive sets from ACERBIS for Honda.  Green YZ, never... just not the demand... yellow KTM, likewise.  The cost of manufacture, and limited demand means they just go to recycling when no one wants them.

How does a fella sign up for the recycling program 😁

On instagram they said suggested retail is 450 euros, 500 ish us. People on instagram were asking about getting the kit with no tank because they want to buy a big tank. It seems like Polisport is saying that the tank is an essential part of the kit ? I think they are saying that a tank made for the Yz plastic won’t line up with the restyle plastic. Might be a deal breaker for me. I guess I’ll wait until people get their hands on the restyle kit and see what they find out.

Nobody else makes a tank that fits the older frame to use the ‘22+ plastic, let alone a bigger one.

Don't see why you couldn't pick up the 2022+ Acerbis 3.2 gallon and the new style shrouds. Coupled with the back half of the Polisport kit it should work fine.

Edit: Also, the main frame has been the same for 20 years.

Looking at the pics a bit closer that would probably work. Wonder if they will sell the parts separately.

The actual frame is the same 05-24. Some guys have upgraded to the new version with all Yamaha parts. It’s expensive. You need a subframe, seat, airbox, tank, plastic and a bunch of hardware. I priced it out 6 months ago and I want to say it’s over $1500 using aftermarket plastic and ims instead of Yamaha tank. I would get the poli kit if it fits with a big tank. If it doesn’t I’m going dial back some of the 15 restyle I did last time. I don’t like the point on the 15 shrouds and any front fender is better than the one that came out in 2010

Hey Scrub, about the seat...

Is it possible to use the 2022-2024 YZ oem seat with this Polisport kit?

Thanks!

What about a cross member that the seat bolts to? How does that work. Can you tell if the bolt pattern on the tank is the same as a new Yz?

The rear fender looks too long on these. If you could take off about 1 1/2” it might look okay.

It's the same as the standard YZ fender... the exposed part is from the same mold.

Scrub had a white kit on eBay yesterday. I think we will see more places with it soon.
