That red clay is going to be interesting if it's soggy.  It will alternate between being like an oil slick and sticking to everything like velcro.  Dirt looks like it came from the old Warrior MX track.

Just needs some large pieces of asphalt mixed in to be authentic warrior dirt.

Is Mirtl petitioning Feld to cancel the race yet?

Track isn't dead yet, but if they've only received 1" or less of the potential 3.5" coming, they better get the pumps out.

Honestly though...  it really depends on the path of the storm.  It could mostly miss the stadium still, or it could move up and be nearly a direct hit.  For what it's worth, Accuweather has it hitting the stadium hard in another hour or so...

Fingers crossed.

Funny you should say that. That's what DB just said 🤪

DB means Dick Burlson about the rain forecast?

"Worse rain I've ever seen." Daniel Blair 🙂

Best SX ride I've seen "in person, at night, in an open-stadium, on a Saturday night, in the state of Florida, when there wasn't a full moon, on a track not designed by Gary Bailey." Daniel Blair.

I appreciated that this thread started with complaining about biblical and then it turns out to be biblical.

Keys to the race:

1. Get a good start

2. Get a good start

3. Get a good start

Truth!  Not many motocross tracks have been built on top of an old figure 8 stock car trackLaughing

I would think AP is feeling better about what he sees…. Especially after the disaster at Daytona.

You would think a venue called "Protective Stadium" would have a roof.

"Since its opening in 2021, the stadium has been named for Protective Life, a financial service holding company based in Birmingham, which pays $1 million per year as part of a 15-year naming rights deal."

They're interested in putting money in your pocket not a roof over your head 💰

I hope this and another race or two yet tbd will be mudders. Maybe this will be the lesson these dipshits need to hold 90% of the rounds in covered stadiums. Another lame mud race is just what the fans begged for. Felds pockets are fat regardless, bunch of fuckin cucks

Thank god the rain looks to be stopping in the morning. We made the trek over from Atlanta & got a room. It’s been years since I’ve been to Birmingham but does anybody know how the city is around stadium? Our hotel is 5min from it but I wasn’t sure if it’s safe to walk at night around here or what? It’s just me & my wife so I want to make sure I don’t walk us through a rough part of town leaving at midnight. Laughing
