No, I mean that Stewart will be the fastest man on the track.

Stewart is crazy fast, but I think with no championship for reed to worry about losing he'll show some amazing speed too.

There will be multiple races happening in the same race. Dungey vs Villipoto and Reed vs Stewart.

It should be fire works.

I'll say this right now, RV and RD won't think twice about banging bars and putting James on the dirt.

Unless the tracks are made to benefit James, I think he might be in for a shocker when he comes back. Heck, RD was matching his speed at the beginning of the season.
If he gets out his old KX125, he might have trouble running their pass. Might.... Other than that will smoke them and it will be back to Reed and JS7..

I don't think so Scott. Both Ryan's have a lot to lose and if either were to intentionally put JS down the AMA would come unglued.

Neither can afford a point penalty, DQ or race suspension.

The problem with that logic is that James can't even travel as fast as James can go....not without dirt napping.

Boy wonder is gonna go out there and let the world know what they have been missing, raw speed. His speed is so fast it don't even register on the lap timer, his speed is so fast he can do a lap before erin opens her mouth, his speed is so fast BL just might open the doors to EABOD??????

Valid point Jim.

That's not to say either Ryan will just let James pass with ease either. They may try to prove a point that they are quite capable of racing with James, just has he may prove a point it's still his sand box.

The end result is great racing for the fans, I hope.

I think the overall speed at the pointy end of the 450 class has slowed down this year. No way the Ryans's are as fast as Chad and James in passed seasons.

The #1 yamaha will have to go slower to match the pace of the two Ryan's. The two can't even match Reed's pace. Don't need to be a brain surgeon to know who has the most speed...... JS #1.

That's some stinky bait, Huck.

A1? Well, we know how that turned out. Phoenix? There wasn't much to compare there.

James was just off the pace at A2...with the broken wrist. My guess is that once he does come back, it'll be back at his usual speed. No reason to rush back before that.

Until I see James beaten by a guy he is trying his hardest to beat, then I have to assume James will still be the man once he comes back.

Righto, I took the bait. You need to take 'Boy wonders' cock out of your mouth as much as I need to take your lure out of mine. The boys are gunna ride, and they're gunna ride fuckin fast. That's it.

The Ryans have been almost 2 sec faster the last two races...seems about on par for what JS CR and RC were doing back in the day 1st crosses, 2nd crosses and then 30 sec later 3rd......

As for the Reed being 4 tenths better does anyone remember what he said his goal was coming back? To focus on the MX championship. How do you think that bike is set up and what kind of practice has he been doing? Toronto will be more telling IMO

I don't think stewart will have any issues....this thread is a "case in point" to the argument that mx fans have memory issues (you're only as good as your last race).

Once Reed and Stewart come back, I think it'll be:

James
Chad

Ryan, Ryan

Everyone else

James is on his own level as far as speed goes....Chad is just a tick off the pace...the Ryans will be about two ticks off Chad's pace, and everyone else will be about 5 ticks of the Ryan's.

And I don't get all the hate on JS for crashing trying to go as fast as he possibly can. Seriously? The guy is putting his life on the line so that us fans can have a good show, and people are hating on him? Really?

I give him props for giving it his all....crash or not, championship or not, the dude never disappoints.

And there is NOTHING like watching james stewart at top speed....NOTHING. So I'm going to be enjoying it, right up until he crashes or wins. Either way, his riding is SPECTACULAR.

And if someone else (RV, RD, CR) have the speed to run with him....that'll just be better.

James was faster then RV at the beginning of the season, but RV wasn't exactly peaking then either.

It will be fun to watch.

Well yeah, but that LV race was the only time I can remember james not racing for the race win....he was in championship mode, and that's it.

I don't even think you'd say that James was riding as fast as he could at Vegas? Of course he wasn't.

And I'm still not convinced the others (RV, RD, CR, or even MA for that matter) are at James speed, even outdoors. But it's been so long since they've been on an outdoor track together that I could be wrong.

All I know, is that the last time James raced the outdoors, he EASILY went undefeated. EASILY. A nearly impossible feat, and to do it as easy as james did is almost unbeleavable (if RC hadn't done it twice, I wouldn't believe it.)

I'm just still not convinced James still isn't the speed king, indoors and out. And that's coming from a Reed fan.

Woody, yer forgetting some things too. JS knew what he needed to do for the championship at Vegas and did just that and I am pretty sure most people that know anything about racing and watch racing and have seen JS race know he wasn't going for the win in that race. *Flame suit on for all the JS haters*

RV won by 4.45 seconds at Daytona. RC must have been dumbfounded with Dungey's speed also. I wonder what RC thought about Reed's speed in practice.

Maybe I am forgetting but why didn't James nut up for the Nationals last year?

To add to the Ryans dealio, ya RV stuffed JBS last year but it was a championship battle as you say.

This year however is another animal. RD ran ahead of JBS for almost 18 laps and they both had 30 sec's on the field. After a HEALTHY JBS passed a HURT RD, RD came back in the last few corners and could have stuffed JBS easily but its not his style or we would have seen the new kid beat down the old guard dog in his very first full time SX 450 ride! Now thats a hell of a lot more impressive than anything that JBS did lately..

JBS always ran about the same distance in front of rest of the pack as the Ryans are now and the pack is the same bunch now as they were when JBS was here so that logic and the race i just spoke of tells me there is a new sheriff in town but it sure as hell is not Bubba! Hmmm maybe co-sheriff'sWink

I cannot imagine the Ryans not running the pace at the front no matter who may be able to keep up with them..one or both may lose thats a given in any race but i think they will both be in the hunt for the win.

If Vegas was the only race that he raced for a championship then I say remember Seattle RV pulled a gap and maintianed or even grew it a bit- As for Vegas we have hashed this thing out but watch the race again- JS tried to check out wiuth the lead..couldn't and after RV passed him tried to make up on him by hitting a tricky jump combo...no need to do all that if your riding for the championship after almost eating shit trying to catch RV he backed it down....I think James will be up front but he won't be alone anymore-

Well, i hope I'm wrong. I want nothing more than to see four riders (JS, RV, CR, RD) within a quarter second of each other-lap time wise-and battling for the lead indoors and out.

So I hope you all are right...I really hope you're right. That'd be best for the sport.
