Langston Update

Battered and bruised with a concussion!

He crashed hard at Daytona.

He crashed really hard in the Main Event.

I heard he crashed hard in practice...or was that somebody else?

Maybe it was something with the "jlaw racing" bikes?

no seat bounce.......He drug frame off the top of a dragons back! It was nasty!

He was battered and bruised, going in for a CT scan. Haven't heard any results from that yet but he hit his head hard and will probably sit out a while.

That really sucked too, he was on it in his heat and was looking good.

I think J-Flaw went down in practice..

That is soooo disappointing for Grant. He was riding good. I like the guy and wish him well. Take a rest and come back for the outdoors!

Hope he is able to be back soon, glad to hear it wasn't worse.

Crash aside, he has to be pretty excited for how things have gone for him so far this year. He is well on the comeback trail, and all signs point to him being very strong for the outdoors. Hopefully this is just a little setback.

I don't quite understand how he got a concussion: It doesn't look like he hit the ground with his head. I originally thought he was going to get right back up because he did a pretty nice roll.

I spoke with GL last night, injuries to his lung, head and knee, he is banged up pretty good and will be out for a while. But long term he will be ok.

Seat bounce.

Good tohear no long term damage....What happened with the lung? injured from impact only or did a rib get it?

Just a quick note to say thank you to the many friends and fans that have expressed their concern over my condition after crashing  Saturday at the Daytona Supercross. I have been able to get some good rest and am now back in California where I anticipate making a full and speedy recovery.  I would also like to give my personal thanks to the professional folks at the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit and the staff at Daytona Motor Speedway.

Hello everyone
Grant's crash Saturday night left him unconscious for two to three minutes. As a result he will not be cleared to race next Saturday night at Toronto. He has also suffered a bruised rib cage and a contusion to his right lung, causing him to cough up blood. We also think that the hard impact to his back, that caused the contusion to his lung, is the reason he was unable to move his legs at first. This is why the officials red flagged the race, he was laying on the blind landing in a high speed section and unable to move. Grant's knee is also extremely swollen. He will be going in to visit his Doctor this week to see if surgery is necessary. In general Grant is very banged-up, bruised and swollen; but our initial scare from him not moving his legs after the crash are fortunately relieved.
On behalf of Grant and the rest of our family, we would like to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns. All the calls, texts and facebook messages really showed Grant how truly loved he is by friends and fans alike.
I will continue to keep everyone posted as we learn more about Grant's state.

Get well Grant... hope your eyes didn't go 108 on ya after that one. Ouch.
