Back story, i was working on an assignment for a class called athletic and fitness administration, it was suggested on my class list about my previous major, kinesiology/athletic training, didn’t want to do that as a job so i switched my focus/major to photography. I am in community college and don’t want to do more college after. I was focusing more on the history of sport assignment that i forgot to start my writing assignment, which was shorter than the other one, for history. I emailed the professor, said what i did, owned up to my mistake and said what i would do so i don’t miss anymore assignments. The history of sport assignment was worth 100 points, the history writing assignment was 60 points. Anyone have any advice for me? Also this is my second time taking history and i don’t think i can take the main english class anymore because i failed it twice and got dropped becuase i didn’t do enough assignments(but didn’t tell my parents about it) and i am trying my best to get better grades to raise my gpa to get financial aid(i have a few thousand in pell grant in the bank) again and to lower my car insurance. I live with my parents still and my dad pays for all my car, the insurance, my phone and my gas. Sorry for going off on a tangent, I do that sometimes and don’t really know how to stop.

Put your nose to the grindstone young man. Sounds like you have an opportunity a lot of people your age will never have. Time to pull your head out and get shit done!
Or you can give that shit up and go hang drywall…
He'd have to give up his U.S. citizenship to hang drywall.
Only fans is your only option!

What's the problem?
Looking for sympathy to help justify laziness.
Go to work in a trade, it's cool you want to be a photographer instead of a personal trainer now, until you change your mind again. You need to learn how to make money, fuck thinking you're going to make a living doing something fun. Let me fast forward time for you, photography at some point will suck too. School aint for everyone and you've failed english twice. Stop wasting your time go get a job.
Update: The professor just sent out an email that said that we only have to do two or three of the five writing assignments and that you can skip the rest. I felt instant relief.
So your parents pay for everything in your life and you repay them by failing classes? All you have to so is put in the effort for school and even that is too much?
Ive been getting better grades now. The only class i failed the last two semesters was statistics which i haven't taken that before. but I saved my notebook and notes from it so I can do better next time. Also I got rejected from 5 entry level jobs last year.
Are you not embarrassed by any of this? You shouldn’t tell strangers that entry level jobs won’t touch you with a 10ft pole
I know a guy who went to Brooks photography college in Santa Barbara ? I think. He's a tile guy now who takes really good pictures. (And goes on 3-4 week long surf trips)
I know an english / psychology major, he's the most interesting bartender ever. He kills it in tips.

Learn to weld or do HVAC work. Huge demand for both.
The job market is brutal. Especially for someone coming out of college.
You are going to have to take a Job you probably don't like. And you'll have to work hard to prove yourself. The age between 21-30ish isn't a fun time. It is for working hard and making a name for yourself. Find an industry with you enjoy, identify a need, learn the skills to fulfill that need and execute. Don't be lazy, don't put yourself into a hole. Don't be stagnant.
As someone who is 28 and finally have some financial freedom. I was in a similar situation as you. I failed classes in college, didn't exactly have the passion to finish, but I did. I took a job at 22 making 30k a year. I worked Monday through Saturday and some Sundays. It's not fun, but I didn't have money to do fun things, so I just worked.
Don't stress too much about these things. It's ultimately a waste of your time to stress at your age.
But my one piece of advice, DON'T GIVE UP & be comfortable with being uncomfortable. I wish someone had laid that out for me better. But I was a stubborn piece of crap in my younger 20's.
You are going to need more than community college unless you learn a trade and earn some certification at the end of community college. Photography can be your elective, I'd focus on some kind of skill based trade that is offered at all community colleges.
Also, focus on school now while everything is being paid for, it's way harder if you have to work during school, so now is your best shot at setting up your future.
Damn! 21-30 is an awesome time! If you ain’t having fun, you ain’t doing it right! Of course, I spent those years finishing college then touring the world by flying off the decks of aircraft carriers. So a little out of the ordinary. But still…
My advice? Don't cum in 'em. The last thing you need to do is knock up some chick right now.
I should have said I am a woman in my original post.

Do you know TYLER'S mom?
Go work labor in construction or get on a blacktop paving crew. Maybe you will like it ! I'll bet you will then figure it out...
Who’s Tyler
Tyler is form Texas and he loves Suzuski riders. I used Tyler’s spell checker so don’t bother trying to correct me.
Only advice I have to say is, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
Anyways, one should have a better idea of what they want to do before going to school. Just my opinion. It’s not a good idea to start college, go into debt and, not finish. Think of college as 4 years of proof you’re reliable in the eyes of a potential employer. Part of that is also maintaining a decent gpa.
Though you’ll eventually figure it out, don’t drag your feet procrastinating. Best of luck to you.
I thought I has an idea but i didn't.
Any advice for you, sure. Some people just aren't cutout for college (you failed History once, and English twice), stop wasting time and money trying to be something you aren't cut out to be. There are plenty of good paying trades out there that don't require a degree. If you don't want to go to trade school, then get a job and stop living off of mom and dad.
Also, please don't take any student loans without understanding they will be your responsibility. No one on Vital wants to be paying back your student loan years down the road because you don't feel it's fair, or you thought it was free money.
I have heard about loans, don't want to use them at all. I thought about being a dirt bike mechanic but I don't think I do that well with stress and I don't want to always have the stress of if you don't tighten the littlest bolt, your rider may crash sort of thing. I am paying the fees for classes with the pell grant that I was able to get. I just want to get into the moto industry and don't want to do school after community college for degree's I may not use.
If that's the case, and this is something you're determined to take seriously; the minimum first step you need to take is to decide at least some general direction you want to go in this. Do you want to get into marketing, photography, journalism, mechanical, fitness, track design/building, gear design, sales, etc.
There are a lot of ways to work "in the moto industry". In order to get into any of them, you need to take some initial steps toward that focus.
If you don't like stress, you are out of luck. You're going to need to find some coping mechanisms that work for you. All jobs have stress (physical, mental, emotional, etc.), that's why we get paid to do them.
I think I am headed in the direction of photography. I have yet to get out to a track to get some pictures of some guys, I am still familiarizing myself with the camera my dad bought my mom when they were together.
keep in mind I have no experience in that field, so anyone else with more knowledge may come in an correct me.
I'd think your next step should be to find some sort of job to work that will help support you while you gain some experience and begin building a portfolio in your free time. If you want to invest the time and money, take some photography courses like you mentioned in your original post. Even if it doesn't lead to a degree, you'll gain some knowledge and experience.
