He's gotten much better and his in-depth knowledge and ability to convey what's happening on the track is invaluable. Except for Brayton, he's by far the best former racer I've heard calling the race and I like his style.

And they were all better in the booth. Just because he was/is great at riding a motorcycle, does not and will not guarantee he will ever be good at his current job. I have tremendous respect for what he accomplished on a motorcycle, but he is not cut out for his current assignment.

Ashley Reynard was awesome...she was so much better than than Shrill Chrisitien. I also think Haley Shanley (RDL) is very good.

Either RC or Feld have spent lots of money getting Ricky coached…pure and simple.
I like RC because he was one of the best the sport ever produced. And yet he seems humble when they talk about his past.

I have a mini stroke every time one of the announcers asks him a question or to explain something or he sees a crash and starts saying “you see, what happened there was…”

We must be listening to different broadcasts. He is never right about anything, he never calls any pass correctly or gives any insight into anything. The most laughable is when he tries to explain the LCQs like he has any experience about what it’s like to be in an LCQ!
in addition to his new announcer catch phrases:
clutch pass, what is key here, to your point… that’s is a new one I am hearing lately from a lot of broadcasters on different channels “to your point” so it must be a recent addition on the “this is how you sound intelligent ” list of catchy phases for broadcasters! 😂
