Jett will be lucky to get to 51 (which is the best anyone on the planet has done exclusively on modern 4 stroke machines).

If half the present field retires next year - which seems possible - then the competitive vacuum Jett needs to back into such a record will exist. That is the only way Jett could do it. And these first 4 races proved it.

I was expecting Jett was going to relatively dominate this season sx- his struggles have made things a whole lot more interesting.

I expect he will get back on track eventually…but maybe too late.

He about got booed out of the stadium during opening ceremonies last night.  At this point, the whole thing is a bit reminiscent of “Believe the hype.”

I missed the boo's but noticed when he crashed half the stadium came to their feet and were cheering. I wonder if these guys end up going out like the BeeGees. The elephant in the room is the fact his competition knows he can be worked now. He has to feel the crowd turned on him as well. Probably never experienced that before.

Why do people keep saying 71? Jett needs 72 more wins to beat McGrath's record, and that's with McGrath having less races per season

I noticed that too. It wasn't the normal "ooohhhhh"when someone crashes, it was actual cheering. At that moment I knew something happened to Jett.

Yupp. When the crowd started cheering I immediately knew Jett went down. Crazy how people turned so fast

The kid is incredibly talented, and he’ll win a bunch as long as he stays healthy.  But I don’t think McGrath has anything to worry about.

If his 450sx career last 10 years, he will have to win 7.2 races a year to reach 72.  That will not be easy.

Thank you! This has been grinding my gears. Kept thinking the guy said a goal is to beat the record, not tie it!
