ha ha Maybe... but there will be 10 or 12 guys his speed who could win... so he may just get used to being one of the guys... any of these guys could be top 3 or 10th just like Mike could be....

Ramon
Desalle
Aranda
Cairoli
Nagl
Strijbos
Leok
Guaneri
Boog
Pourcel
Barragan
Coppins
Philippaerts
De Dycker

Whether Alessi rides or not it shouldn't detract from the racing I don't think.... though the Franch love the Americans.. so it would be in his interest for his fans to race.

how so?

you do realise there are 4 world champions in that list, and 3 guys who have finished runner up in the GPs and all of them have won GPs in their career, except two.. Aranda and Boog,,, but they are both French young and talented so should be fast on their home tracks. I even forgot Boissiere who has also won GPs and When you add in Albertson and Alessi it is a stacked field!

Plus since it's a pre -season race and some guys will be racing at 100% other 90% and other 80% it allows even more unpredictabilty.

Alessi could win or get 8th neither would surprise becasue everyone is pretty close in speed at that level esp since the German, French and italians are all good on hard pack tracks.

It will be interesting to see how Cairoli does on the 350f it sounds like if he performs well here (hardpack) he will use it for the GPs...

Before the GP season, Charlier will only race the italian championship (and maybe some of the Elite french championship races, but not sure...).

Maybe all those guys have the speed to win, but I guess it depends on who gets the good start. If Ramon or Coppins start outside the top 10, they wont make top 5. Of that entire list, Cairoli is the only one that will be able to quickly make up time and make passes. After the start, the rest of that list will just settle into a pace, let the race come to them, finish wherever they finish.

i wouldnt give that much importance to the results of this race, it is a pre-season race and experienced riders know they dont win anything there but can loose it all if things go wrong.......
this races are used to check bike and fisical conditions and its the pace that you can run that matters not really the result......some riders even hold back to not show their game right away.......on the other hand it is a great chance for smaller riders and teams to get on the spotlight and give sponsor return before the big dogs start their fight..........
i think that in this races all you can see is if theres anything wrong with your setup, how good you really are against the competition only the first gp can show..........

I think the kid is going to really suprise some this year, saw him race twice in the Euro MX Championship last year and was simply blown away by his speed!!!

I get a seriously big kick out of reading what most of you all write when TRYING to compare the 2 series... Both have their own Prestige and greatness, its you guys who try to make one more superior than the other without ever having been to both and experienced what they have to offer. I know this is couch racing and a ton of fishing from those screens but sometimes maybe speak some truth instead of what you hear.

Yeah in UK and Bulgaria Smile Really showed Roczen and everyone how it should be done at Hawkstone Smile

For those guys who haven't seen Charlier race, you are in for one hell of a treat when you do.

Saw him at Hawkstone Park (top three of the greatest tracks in the world) and he simply blew me and everyone else who was watching him that day away. Herlings was on it that day, and Charlier just simply reeled him in (roughly 10-12 secs) and left him (beat him by approx 15 secs I think??). He was 3 secs a lap quicker than Brad Anderson that day, and Brad doesn;t hang about at Hawkstone either.

This track favors Albertsons style. I think its going to be Jimmys best showing so far.

Yep it should suit Albee and Alessi and like Osborne said the 20 minute races should suit the sprint style they have as well. But then again the French, Italians and Germans are good on hard pack too.
