what's up with the fees for SX tickets

Yep.

It sucks.

Especially when you try to walk into a concert hall, the phone app isn't working.

You have to go to the ticket counter for a paper ticket, and see the seats you paid for are around $100, not the $250, or more (much more) that you dished out.

Ticketmaster/live nation sucks.

Is that who you have to go through these days for SX tickets ???

I always go to the box office at the stadium to buy my tickets. Easier to hone in on a good seat and no fees.

I'm lucky enough to work about 15 min from Lucas Oil Stadium and can do it on my lunch break.

Its why i don t go to stuff.

Always a scam, a few $$ is OK to a point, but once its over £10 over face value, i am out. 

I remember when the fee went from $7.50 a ticket to $15 and getting really pissed. 

As mentioned above, I will always go to the box office for my tickets.

$645 @ Ticketmaster. 

Funnynthing, the box office accepts credit/debit-credit but NOT just “debit” cards. I bought a young woman’s “family tix” for Monster Jam on my card (exchanged cash with her for tix/I’d just heard them tell her they don’t take cash and wouldn’t take her debit card: WTF?!). 5 good tix covered/out of the rain: $255. That’s a good deal in today’s world of family entertainment!

Don’t buy reseller tickets. Ticketmaster fees  are one thing. Legal scalped at more than face value is just wrong. 

Problem is, 

For music, Ticketmaster gets all the prime seats.

You want to sit close, those seats get snatched up as soon as the show is announced. 

So by the time you go to the box office, they're gone.

CC companies are out of hand. My guess is they are paying big companies to only accept credit cards.

It's lame for everyone who doesn't live close to the box office.  Such a scam.  But you have no choice.  So they win.  What I don't understand is why I can't just buy tickets online from the stadium itself?  Just like at the box office for events.  Why are we forced to 3rd party ticket master type businesses to buy online?   

Because the venue gets a generous cut of the fees with none of the headaches.

Total rip-off...Then add Parking that's insane and anything food/drink related...

Daytona is local for me, 54$ tickets on their website( we get to stand right next to the track) and free parking across the street. I love that place.

A few years ago you could get tix for SX on Groupon and that was a good deal...I never needed the greatest seats anyway.   I'd move around the stadiums and find an empty seat.  

That said, I can sit in comfort on my couch, have better food and MUCH better cocktails at home.    ...and I don't have to deal with drunken idiot fans and the teeny-bobber cell-phone selfie brigade.

Many venues (including Glendale) charge Ticketing fees even at the box office.

 I wasn't aware that Arlington was one of the only rounds that uses seatgeek instead of ticket master, I assumed supercross made the switch in general, but it appears to be a Jerry World change.

Fees are about $14 on the cheapest tickets, I miss the "tread head" tickets.

This is what happens when massive companies like Ticketmaster & AXS drive out local event promoters. They can charge whatever they want.

Yeah ill stay at home to watch the Detroit Supercross. 

Save on parking, save on sitting in my seat listening to inaudible stadium interviews and a bunch of downtime. And even when there will be racing, itll be on an arenacross level track this year.

I am fortunate enough to work in the motorcycle industry and I still have connections from my racing days, so I often get comped. I don't think I've purchased Supercross tickets in about 25 years. I won't be paying Ticketmaster fees, now or in the future. If I can't find a few free tickets from somewhere, I'll just watch from home. Plus, I've seen so many supercross races, I don't get anything new out of being there in person anymore.

Last year I did have a mini-adventure with my kids, though. We parked at Fashion Valley for free and rode the trolley to Snapdragon Stadium (San Diego SX). Free parking, $6 each for an all-day trolley pass. 

Raise the Fees so we can have a roof and stop making us pay for Rain !!!!!!! Who paid Extra Fees to sit in the Rain that's die hard  

Parking was $50 at A1. 

Live Nation who owns Ticket Master is basically a monopoly and have gone to court for it. Live Nation has a huge stake in tons of artist management companies, Live Nation is a promotor for events and then obviously have the ticketing on lock with ticketmaster so they stand to make a profit at every level of events.

Most of these venues have contracts with Ticket master and must use them also means the venue doesn't have to deal with ticketing and with Ticket Masters "dynamic" pricing it maximizes ticket prices which the venue gets a percentage of. 

That being said its bullshit but two years after the concert or SX race I will still look back on how much fun we had, Ive never looked back two years later and said man im glad I saved that $200. 

Speaking of rip offs, in what galaxy is $85.78 for the cheapest Red Bud ticket acceptable?  This is the cheapest ticket they offer.

ahhhh....the good ol days.

$70 for the cheapest nose bleed tickets at the box office for A2. No fees. The tickets are sent to your phone so you don't get a physical copy anymore. My jaw dropped when the lady told me my total was $700. Usually travel and go to 3-5 rounds a year. May just have to stick to 1 per year now.
