Also, guys like Webb and Tomac are just sitting back watching this drama unfold and rubbing their hands together.

IMO, the real problem as many have stated on here is not Jett or the Lawrences, it's the agent. Lucas Mirtl has found his cash cow, he's sold them well to Feld and to a lesser degree MX Sports and now after 3 pretty successful seasons the rest of camp is maybe a bit guilty of believing their own hype and some entitlement has crept in. Go back and listen to any interview with Mirtl when Matthes has had him on the PulpMX Show. There's zero humility in the man, he loves to talk big and bash some parts of the sport while also bragging about how he's going to single-handedly change it.  Then he got absolutely butt-hurt and had nothing when Vuillemin challenged him on a few things on one of his appearances. Sort of the same way Jett got butt-hurt when challenged on the track by the 21.

He want's to change the sport.     Is the 3-second-attention-span-socialmedia/electronic leash teeny-bobber ilk really how we want the direction of our sport to go?       He'll make his money and watch it all burn to the ground without giving a shit.

intro to the movie Office Space

If you've ever worked in an Office environment, that movie has a lot of reality to it.   Can't tell you how many times I've fantasized about taking a copier out into a field the way they did.

That opening scene was hilarious.

One of the best movies ever made.

Jett is an amazing MX rider.  Through 22 motos there were only 2 times that I thought someone might challenge for the win.  Chase when he got to his rear tire and then stumbled, and Roczen.  Dylan had a good race too to be fair.  SX on 450s is still a little in question.  1 win and I don’t think it was a run away or that Jett was only at 90%.  At A1 I think he was doing what he could(95+%) and Coop was getting there.  I think Eli will figure it out, Chase will get more comfortable, and others will improve.  Don’t get me wrong…I thing Jett will do good…just not sure how good.  He would still be favored imo, but not a lock.

…..but…

If he starts to think he can rub plastic and still do good??  I think when Jason finally went outside to let him by and then Jett unnecessarily rode him high….and then did the look back hand gesture after??  That was dumb.  Don’t poke the fucking bear.  Just ride.   If he wants to try to play games with some of these men….then he will straight up get his ass kicked.

Why do people listen to him? Mx Sports is just as guilty as Feld.

Also ppl are ripping jett about the unfollow.

But does jett control his insta? Did jett press the button. Or could it have been his agent or someone who runs the account. It's a bad look for the camp. But Jett is the one copping the criticism for it but it may not have been him.

When you think back on the incident it wasn't much of a big deal. Shit like that has happened plenty of times b4. It's the circus that followed that has blown the situation up.

Unnecessary rode him high? How did Jett know he was letting him bye. There was no wave bye. For all jett knew he could have cut back down. I think Jett taking andos line is a non issue given the way ando was riding a wide bike.

Because he went above the top rut and sat up and slowed.  You don’t race do you?.  This is infinitely more common way to let someone by then a Jett hand wave like Chicagoland.  When someone does that the guy behind can see it and knows.  Just go by.  Jett didn’t go up to ensure a pass…he went up because he was frustrated.  It was dumb because if they race then Jett will beat Jason pretty much every time.  If they battle…Jason will drop his ass.

So I think Jett acted like a 12 year old after the race, however, if you are a star and you show your ass on saturday night, if I was your agent, I wouldn't let you near your social media afterwards with a 12 foot pole... I get the team making a post for him, Jett doesn't need to be on socal this week. A call or text to JA directly might have smoothed things over better though sounds like.

i can't read through this whole string, but the first dominated by "JA wins" and "Jett's a kid" crap is pitiful.

Maybe Jett can't control his media dudes trying to control his image.

Maybe Jett could care less what Dad thinks about all this.

Maybe Jett is a badass who doesn't give s*** about Jason's feelings, and will just let the winning do the talkin'.

Maybe Jett could care less about the keyboard and social media b****s that think he's a "kid".

After all Jett is a 3 time national champ, and probably does believe he can get to 72.

I know most people are thinking Jett should mea culpa with El Hombre, but I think this is a golden opportunity to go a different, more brazen route and instead own the badass role like Bradshaw. He could come out and say he didn't direct his team to apologize. They took it upon themselves, and he retracts it all. He's not out there to make friends, he thinks Anderson is a road-blocking b*tch and has to pay full retail for a VIP experience, he's gunning for the most SX wins ever with no shame toward MC, even RC's records are in his sights, and to all the naysayers:

Remote image

He just may need to tone down the tears going forward. Woohoo

That is what I truly hope happens.  Jett is the most talented by far of anyone under 27 yrs old and only lacks the experience of Tomac and Roczen.  He should start punting their *sses every time he catches them lacking and be aggressive.  Take the crown instead of expecting it to be gifted.

The whole thing is blown out of proportion.

Doesnt Anderson have some petty beef with someone every year anyways

Bunch of sad people who can’t ride fast enough to beat him, what about Sexton who had such a huge shit fit he refused to race half the nationals. Or the fact that JA was just holding him up? Still nobody can beat Jett with just SPEED. The disrespect is pathetic - can’t wait for the years to roll on and the records to all be crumbled and all the washed up racers will eventually, you guessed it, bend the knee.

Only 71 more to go!

Man. Now I’m excited to see how everyone else rides with Jett. Did JA open a Pandora’s box? These guys visually seeing how much jett really isn’t liked between all of them might make them ride a little rough with the golden boy. Before all this they knew if they punted golden boy they would be getting torched. Now? Hmmm

I also pondered this same question over the week thus far.  This season has delivered in spades already with the points mix ups and mud rounds.  It has shaken a lot of the riders up and makes it better for all of us.  I don't think it will start a trend per say but I believe that when push comes to shove other riders are going to start shoving in critical moments more IMO.

I agree. The sport needed this. Sucks that Jett was the punchline but he’s young and fast.. this will go away. I personally felt the sport was becoming too much of a political bro show. Yeah bro we are ALL cool off the track. We don’t want to race anyone dirty. How boring is that? There’s a new excitement added to this season that has nothing to do with points. A lot of mental games now and that’s awesome.

100% the bro show gets old for sure. It was much more entertaining when you could feel tension in the air between Chad, James, and Ricky.

Think the biggest question now is.. Will Anderson waste another year and another opportunity to go for a title in order to show another rider he is better and getting revenge or will he let his Insty post be the take out and focus on racing forward and going for race wins that he has shown he has the pace to do. I am sure Kawi are not paying him to clean people out, he is their only hope for podiums, wins and a title this year.

As for Jett, he fucked up this time for sure, could of handled the whole situation better.

Though if Jett had just rolled over and let it go, all these guys bagging on him would call him a pussy for that, haters going to hate.

It is easy to see there is a good portion of people who have just been waiting for this opportunity to jump in and give a kick.

Will be interesting to see if RC backs up that laughing emoji by saying what he really thinks of the situation including Jason's post on the broadcast this weekend.

I agree with your take on Anderson, but I don't agree with you on the reaction to Jett letting it roll off his back.

If he'd just rolled off the track and gone back to the truck, nothing/very little would have been made of him and Ando. Handling it the way he did, though, just let everyone know that they can get into his head by dicking with him. And that won't end well when you have guys like Webb, Anderson and Barcia out there, because all three of them (especially Webb) are capable enough and fast enough to frustrate Jett into making mistakes on the track.

so, are you saying "a pro motocrosser who confronts a competitor right after the race about on track actions is crying"?

i think that this action (taken by every great motocrosser in history), is probably more normal behaviour of highly competitive and rightly egotistical champions who have a huge emotional investment in the outcome of the previous moto.

calling it crying is just strange.

Btw, don’t tell Magoo his bike weighs 500 pounds. It’ll piss him off so much that he’ll set down his beer and go weigh it.

No, I call this crying. Actually crying. Be current if you're going to argue facts man.

I actually don't disagree with you about the certain level of ego it takes to be great. But with that ego better come self-awareness, or you are going to get yourself into situations like this one. I have no problem with him wanting to voice his dissatisfaction with Anderson, face to face, what most have a problem with is him grabbing Anderson after it was voiced. Then the subsequent meltdown of everyone around him, especially since this video captures the emotional meltdown after Anderson didn't roll over.

And that won't end well when you have guys like Webb, Anderson and Barcia out there, because all three of them (especially Webb) are capable enough and fast enough to frustrate Jett into making mistakes on the track.

The idea that Jett is a Zen master that never folds is totally out the window.

"This kid never makes mistakes!"

"Always calm, cool, and collected."

His ego is/was at an all time high after A1 and he finally had 2 bad weekends in a row. If the dude's know what's up, and I think they do, they need to continue to fluster Jett on these tight tracks.

Yesterday. 2 loops. It was muddy…it was awesome.

Magoo has probably taken his Triumph ADV on gnarlier stuff than you’d believe.

Btw, don’t tell Magoo his bike weighs 500 pounds. It’ll piss him off so much that he’ll set down his beer and go weigh it.

Karl? You’re right. The kid got me. I’m gonna go sell my bikes, take up golf, start drinking Bud Light and all that.

Damn, that kid get really got me. Laughing

Awesome bike man.   Those 1200s are SUPER nice.    My next ADV will be a Triumph 1200.    I gotta get more sane and get a lighter off-roading machine. Grinning

i can't read through this whole string, but the first dominated by "JA wins" and "Jett's a kid" crap is pitiful.

IF Jett wants to be considered a badass, he probably shouldn't be caught on camera literally crying like a 5 year old who just had a bully take away his basketball.

so, are you saying "a pro motocrosser who confronts a competitor right after the race about on track actions is crying"?

i think that this action (taken by every great motocrosser in history), is probably more normal behaviour of highly competitive and rightly egotistical champions who have a huge emotional investment in the outcome of the previous moto.

calling it crying is just strange.

No he’s talking about the video of Jett actually crying that got the abide moto dude shut down because it hurt his fragile feelings.  Then his agent had to come to the rescue for the 3rd time in one week.

He just may need to tone down the tears going forward. Woohoo

That is what I truly hope happens.  Jett is the most talented by far of anyone under 27 yrs old and only lacks the experience of Tomac and Roczen.  He should start punting their *sses every time he catches them lacking and be aggressive.  Take the crown instead of expecting it to be gifted.

This made me laugh.  Let me know if Jett decides to try to “start punting their *sses” so I can move him from the top of my fantasy picks to the bottom.  Jett will get his ass kicked in an ass punting contest and his championship hopes will be DOA.
