Last week they mentioned he was very sick but haven’t heard anything about an injury 

When asked about his illness prior to the LCQ, he said something along the lines of "I wish it was only an illness I'm dealing with." I'm not sure if he meant he was really really sick, or had some other issue going on? I'd have to go back and rewatch to see exactly how he worded it, but it sounded bad.

Maybe when he said he wishes it was only low energy he meant he had diarrhea...it's going around.  

Combo of still healing from his last injury and being sick. 

That may have been it. That would certainly be worse than low energy only haha. Hope he's fully healthy and bounces back next week!

I thought I heard him mention a significant rash/skin issue as well…can’t imagine wearing gear and riding while dealing with that.

Wow.....  I expected to open this up asking what did Barcia do now?.   I remember 2 years ago, this place was flooded with Barcia hate like it is for Friese right now. 

JB51 sounded and looked like hell on Saturday night.   I can't believe he was out there at all.  ...and that epic 1 handed crazyness a at the start.   Insane.

I think he has only been back a few weeks since his smx crash. I don't think he had the smoothest recovery. So he was starting off on the back foot. Then add in illness.

He talked about having a viral-based illness, low energy as a result of that virus, plus a nasty rash all of which don't sound fun.  did great just to make the main and salvage what he could.  Dude is a warrior.

I'm not trying to play doctor but the symptoms kinda sound like Shingles.

Depending on where they present...could be anything from "painful" to life changing.

I'm getting the shingles vaccine today.

2 shots for shingles I think? My sister in law got sick as hell after the 2nd shot…hope Barcia gets to feeling better, definitely was not himself last weekend…

On the Pulpmx post race review, JT$ said Barcia was VERY sick.
