How come Anstie was able to do that big double that Weimer was not?

weimer did do it...so did a bunch of other guys towards the end of the race

I guess I'll have to watch the race again. I saw Weimer try it first and he had that awesome save... didn't realise he started doing it again later.

Did you go to that race Bob? Maybe the TV coverage didn't show it well enough.

I used to date a girl that was neighbors with Uecker. Remember that TV show he had? That names a blast from the past!

Anstie's corner speed around that corner was ridiculous. He was on rails saturday until some lappers got in the way and ruffled his feathers.

Anstie did it perfect one lap ,then came up a little short the next, but I noticed it also. I think the Star bikes are as fast as the PC stuff, if not faster. JMO..

The line developed more and they started to hit it, but Anstie was the man to watch that whole race for sure, that tool Alessi ruined his charge.

No they don't. Star Racing builds their own motor's and use FMF pipes.

Plus, no the Star motor's are not as good as the PC motor's. The Star Racing bikes are good, but not on the same level as the PC bikes.

Watch every start in the Lites class this year and in the past and the PC bikes are towards the front every start. The only bikes / motor's that were even comparable with the PC bikes were the KTM's in 2005 and 2006, but the KTM rear suspension was holding them back. I hate to say, but it's true. The 05 and 06 KTM's would be out front but when they hit the whoops, they would struggle.

It doesn't seem the KTM's motor's are as good now a days, as they were back then.

It couldn't simply be the fact that the pc riders have a better starting technique now could it.

Year after year? No, I don't think so.

Yea, and those ancient 125's what were they thinking? Man that was like a million years ago.

This is hilarious. What exactly are all of you basing your theories off of? Your methods are very scientific. How the hell do you know how close what bike is to whatever else?

There was some guy that I had never heard of that did the jump two or three times.

He didn't even come close to making the main.

All those factory 250Fs are so close in speed that it depends alot on the rider. Anyone who says one is so much faster then the other hasnt a clue.

Starts are not a good judge of power

I've holeshot 450A on my 250F before, granted Jesse did the motor up real pretty.

I agree that on many types of start straights the power is not so very important. I have hole shot 450´s on a modified CRF250X complete with head and tail lights! Its more about method for sure.. MA comes to mind..

I think its more about ball's than about horses.

Yes.

Mitch's bikes are faster.....Mitch leaves no stone unturned in his quest performance. Case in point his pipes now have a Powerbomb like FMF.
