Is anyone confident about voting integrity? Remember back when the Republican poll watchers were kicked out and windows boarded up? I haven't really heard anyone talk about that since then. Some are starting to squeak a bit about voting integrity but not much. Otherwise it's just over.

Both candidates have strong supporters. Nobody can argue each one of these folks running is the ideal candidate to millions of Americans. Certainly not to me, but I will not belittle my fellow Americans right to choose or their decisions. I can discuss how they are mistaken though, sure. But how we have gone from being able to disagree and discuss choices to spewing vitriol and hate in such a short span to me is disappointing.

It's kind of mind boggling how bad it's gotten. When I was younger we could talk with our friends of different political beliefs. Now we can't even have friends of a different political belief. How do you suppose we got here this fast? Was it the ability to message out over the internet? People could get very nasty because they were not face to face and then people just got used to that as a normal?

Perhaps you are on to something there. The anonymity of the internet. I do know one thing, I learn more from those I disagree with than with those I agree with.

Election malpractice is as old as elections in this country. Kruschev stated he got Kennedy elected, and look into LBJ's senate campaign.

Final Republican Primary Debate before the primary voting starts will be this week. Only DeSantis and Haley qualified. DeSantis seems to do better when fewer people are on the stage. These two are the only ones with even a small chance to beat Trump for the nomination. I’d imagine they’ll be pulling out their best lines trying to peel off as many Trump voters as they can.

Which is one reason there was an aggressive campaign to look for potential voter fraud in 1972. That prompted the Republicans to be kicked out of having "poll watchers" for 40 years. This will be the first election that they are allowed back.

Man I thought Texas was bad with the political adds. Try living in Iowa as a caucus state. Good gravy

One of the very very few benefits of living in California. Nobody campaigns here thankfully. They only come here for fund raisers.

California is an occupied state. That 1 party system isn't working out so well

I'm confident there will be all new fraud. Think about it, every top level intel agency post will get fired if Trump gets reelected. You think they'll let that happen? All these lawsuits are pure political. Everything they have thrown his way has only made the people realize it's all about election interference. I'm just not smart enough to know what's next. But I doubt it'll be Biden on the ticket. Best guess is he'll get dumped and claim he's out due to health issues. Then at the DNC convention, they'll put in Michelle O. They can't run Kami, and they're toast if they don't replace her with a black woman, So who better? She'll say she doesn't want it but if the people really want her, she'll do it. Such self sacrifice.

We all see what you see. . . .

Thank goodness 2024 is here.

Now, if the election is not free and fair. . .

It's gonna be a rager.

Biden isnt going to win reelection. Between some bad decisions and shitty luck, he doesn't have a chance. Too bad he doesn't have a real competitor to primary him.

The republican primaries will be the real election. Hopefully it aint Trump again.

You guys really think anytime your candidate loses it’s not a free and fair election huh? Wild. Sometimes your person wins. Sometimes they lose. That’s the way it goes. That’s democracy. Just accept it and move to the next one.

I believe it was the DNC that determined that no competitor would primary him.  Don’t take my word for it, ask RFK, jr.

is it just me, or does anyone else think that the USA and the world would be a better place if it was any different 2 people than Trump and Biden on the ballot for each major party,

Oh yeah, same shit as when they forced Hillary on us. The Democrat party has some potentially great presidents, but instead its the buddy club.

”Exactly the same” you say?

Exactly! Where would we be without the historic debates of:

Eisenhower & _________

Nixon & _________

Reagan & _________

Bush & _________

Clinton & _________

Bush & _________

Obama & _________

Trump & _________

The incumbent candidate debating a primary challenger is a staple of American democracy. How dare they do things totally different than any other past incumbent in 2024?

You beat me to it.

This election cycle the democrats won't allow any primary challengers (they ran off RFK) and looking like won't allow Joe to debate anyone!

So much for preserving the precious "democracy " they act like the covet.

Anyhoo conventional wisdom would be a female VP so I'm going with Noem as the likely pic.

The Obama machine is probably the only campaign that the left could put out as a legitimate contender for an election bid. It's the only campaign that would have blind allegiance, as they say Trump has with MAGA backing.  Their strategy appears to be a "Jonny come lately" approach and perhaps a write in ballot tactic.  As running on current democratic policies is a-kin to a dead stick.  Regardless, it all swirls around what Biden is going to do.  My opinion, this has already been determined and Biden is a fall guy that is just keeping the seat warm for Michelle.  Rumors I've heard is Michelle for Pres, Gavin for V.P., and wrangle Harris into a SCOTUS jurist.

Well played but no where near the same situation.

Trump was such a defacto force in 2020 he was "the guy". Other  candidate read the tea leaves and folded.

Biden on  the other hand is weak and very un popular. So much so that another Democrat RFK gave it a serious go.

Only to be openly discredited by the DNC, his own party and the coordinated media.

So much so that even as as life long Democrat Royalty he switched parties.

Biden even refused to give him secret service protection.

None of these things happened to other Republican hopefuls on 2020.

Trump is already pushing to debate Biden and the DNC is already running interference to avoid that and keep him in his basement again.

So context and details are important to the story.

Try again.
