That move on Deano was straight dirty. Cross jumped, cuts off the corner and makes a bee line straight towards the exit of the turn. Deano has some good looks at it on his YouTube channel.

if friese can come from an outside gate (and he wasn’t way out there) and make the inside of the first turn in first place then it’s on the other riders that can’t get there or stop in time..

when you are in front and can control the first turn, you do it every single time.. he doesn’t have rear view mirrors, nor does he need to care about who is behind him and what is happening there.

Same exact scenario but he leaves enough room for everyone to make the turn and no-one got taken out. That's how a world champ does it, not a world chump.
