Anyone else think that the attempted takeout/pass Hansen made on Anstie in their heat race was a little unnecessary? For the first/second turn it looked like Hansen had plenty of room and would have come away with a better start and for sure a better drive through the whoops if he hadn't insisted on sending Anstie off track. Sorry, I want to see Anstie do well and I already don't like Hansen but that attempted take out and Hansen's retarded VIP pitpass interview thing really made me not like the guy.

As much as I disagree with the way JLaw acts sometimes, I honestly don't mind him. But there is just something I can't stand about Hansen...

That was pretty "red" and uncalled for I think #100 is grasping for anything to keep himself a float. Anstie will long outlast Hansen so who gets the last laugh ?

Hansen's a punk. Apparently he likes it that way.

It's racing, deal with it. I like Anstie, but he's a rookie and needs to learn to not try and pass on the outside. The pit pass segment was lame I agree.

Why does everyone cry if someone rubs a bit of paint?

I agree, hopefully Jlaw won't keep making these rookie/retarded mistakes as well.

Hanny is prolly saving himself for outdoors.

It was not such a smart move, would have made a much better start without doing that. But he's fighting for a job and can't let people just ride around on the outside of him.

I didn't look that bad to me, but Karma got the best of Hanny that night. He punked Anstie and then himself in the main.

Hanny rocked it at SF and if you were payin' attention you would have noticed that he went from 20th to 7th like a Rocket.

The kid didn't do anything outta line with ANYONE.

Infact, on the T.V. coverage, they chose the Hahn on Seeley pass as the "Pass of the Nite" or whatevet; but, the best pass of the nite was made by Hanny...

On SEVERAL ocassions.

I can only hope that SOMEONE puts him on a 450 back East.

Some of you hatin' bitches need to go play golf.

I'm jus' sayin'...

It was just racing...you NEVER give anyone the pass on the outside...and in the 2nd turn... you NEVER try to make a pass on the outside...

either way...it was just racing. and Hanny is putting in ALL of the effort. He's doing GREAT against tough competition...and I doubt ANYONE on here ever thought he would be as fast as he is (this year).
Good for Hanny.

Hanny is looking better and better. I hope he gets consistent, it will just make the racing better.
Remember Chicken and Bradshaw ? They would practically stop and fight in the corners.

Anstie wasn't trying to make a pass I think he was content with a second place start in a heat race. Hansen looks over as he had a whel on him and slides right over into make contact with him. Hansen is about where I thought he would be 5th thru 10th hoping for a top 10 in points.

I thought it was nice to see some agression... too many riders are too 'clean'... besides, how do ya know Anstie wouldn't have punked Hansen in the next corner; I believe Anstie's has punked a few kids in his amature career... rubbin's racing and karma's a bitch...

Gee FN wiz all..............!
Give it a rest already.
It was just an innocent racing incident!
Both went for it, both had limited space,
hence something had to give.
To beat up Hanny is lame & wrong!
& Max is still learning & under construction
as I like to call fast rookies.
In racing, especially in the 1st turn, sh*t happens!
Onto San Diego!

I didn't mind the contact. But I thought it was pointless for Hansen to drive way outside when he had the whole inside of the first turn all to himself. And the way his first turns have been going, you'd think he would try something new...like going smooth around the inside.

I don't really understand why he did that move either. He had a great start.....the guy just hates the first lap of a race or something.

Hanny will win one for sure. he's had some bad luck and at A2 he rode tight, because he didn't want to fall. he got arm pump on the 3rd lap from nerves, not fatigue.

you guys really think Mitch doesn't make him pound laps and that he's out of shape? if you do, you really need to take a ride to the kawi track for a day at watch.

And you lknow for a fact that he looked at him and slid into him intentionally? Get a clue. People bitch cause they want some racing and then bitch when they get it.

It was a stupid and unnecessary move - it let two people by on the inside. The kid is fast and I hoped he'd turn over a new leaf this year, but stupid shit like this move, the interview on the show, the Phoenix interview, and his constant hatred/threatening of Matthes shows he hasn't really changed. Well, except for his riding. He's on the gas and is likely to win one. He just needs to focus on moving forward...

Didnt think it was intentional, I found it quite ironic that in the main Antstie was glued to Hansens rear tire.

rocked my ass.

Anstie finished right on him. Actually was reeling him in the last couple laps.

Hanny tried the same BS in the first turn in the main only no one was there so he ran off the track instead of using someone as a berm and it cost him a great start.

7GP are you kidding me? Do you really think that Josh would risk going down in the first turn to deliberately take out Anstie? Josh came into the turn too hard, and couldn't make the turn clean, the same as what happened in the main - Ask any of the riders their opinion of that first turn.....Whether you like him or not, he's there to win races, as are all the riders. Quit whining about take outs, etc. - let the guys race. Anstie will take care of himself - he's got a lot to learn, and is doing great for his rookie year.
