When the bulk of fresh replacements are 40- 50 year olds, it cant be very confidence inspiring for Ukraine. The Russians have been planning their next 2-3 years of mobilization’s. Still burning up ethnic conscripts. They have close to 10 times the man power to burn.

I don't doubt it, but it does raise the question if mobilisation of people from wealthier and politically more important regions of Russia will become an issue for the kremlin. Nobody seems to give a damn about prisoners and ethnics being turned into fertiliser in Ukraine.

I’d imagine it would at some point. Look at how many young males already left.

Ukraine spent the entire summer fighting very hard and broke through the first Russian defensive line in a single place, I just don't see them having the strength to remove the Russian army.

Both sides have been claiming the other is about to collapse and is running out of men since this started and it seems neither is about to collapse or run out of men. I suspect that this war is going to last a very long time yet.

ruSSia loves to talk up it’s strength. The fact is the loses they are enduring are unsustainable for any army. And they are in far worse shape than they will ever admit.

Yes Ukraines counter offensive was unsuccessful, but what has ruSSia done since 2022? Absolutely nothing.

ruSSia will only ever agree to stop the war, so that they can rebuild and go again. Same thing they done with Chechnya.
Then they will use the Ukrainians as soldiers to push further. Like they always do.

So the Ukrainians only have two choices.. fight ruSSia now or fight the west later.

What’s with the “ruSSia” thing? Is it the obvious Nazi reference or do you want us to explore the semiotics of it on our own? It’s not adding to anything you have to say and makes your comments difficult to read. The commitment is commendable, but maybe you should let go of the shift bar and familiarize yourself with some of the other keys.

Fuck wars.  It's real people that are dying.  People just like me and you.  Indoctrinated, poisoned, patriocised, armed and sent to oblivion.  For what?

In the end...it accomplishes nothing but more wealth and power for the evil.

Peace Yall.

There has been a lot of wars in this part of the world over a lot of centuries and every one of them somehow was the solution. What a disservice to all the men who previously died in these fields who thought the bloodshed they were involved in was patriotic and justified. This current conflict will be long over when the next conflict in this area starts all over again for some other reason to churn through another set of mother's sons. What a waste, how can the leaders of the world be so stupid or give so little shit about the waste of lives and resources.

That is exactly what I do not understand. Our politicians state in one sentence how anti-war they are, yet in another give countless millions to support and continue numerous wars all over the world. Is the average Ukranian's quality of life going to be that much worse if it is ruled by Russia, or if they give up land to Russia? How many of them actually give a shit? And why should we give a shit if it does matter anyway, is it worth half a billion dollars? What exactly would happen if the Ukraine didn't fight back, wouldn't less people be killed? Honest questions people should be asking.

All fair questions.

Personally I think if the Ukrainians didn’t give a shit … this would have been over a long time ago.

As long as they are willing to fight for what is theirs I am totally for supporting them.

They decide it’s not worth it … so be it.

America has been pretty lucky.  Too much blood and treasure spent around the world BUT...there ain't no way to stay on the sidelines of tyranny.  I reckon it's better to fight them over THERE than here.  Far cheaper in the long run.

Honest question, you think if Russia defeats Ukraine there is a chance they would invade our country? Did I misunderstand? Eastern Europe as well as the Mid East has been at war for centuries without our involvement. Do you think some of the citizens of Ukraine think their own leaders are tyrants? I think our politicians spending billions on other country's border protection and not our's makes our leaders tyrants honestly.

I don't have a crystal ball so I have no idea what will happen.  All I can do is look at history and the actions of people.

If I see a guy shooting at folks...on the other side of town...I'm not gonna say, "Not my neighborhood...not my problem".  I'd rather call the cops before the dude IS in my yard.  Old Putin doesn't seem like the type to change directions.  I don't expect him to "invade" the US but there's more than one page in his playbook.

I think at least half of every countries populace believes their leaders are corrupt tyrants or at least idiots.

Would you feel any different if your tax money was being spent to fight off an invasion of Canada or Mexico?  Especially if you lived near the border?

It's my belief that the Russias, North Korea's, Irans and their ilk will continue to spread their destruction until they are stopped.  Whether that's by force or a giant fucking meteor...there will be blood.
