No monster sponsorship is surprising to me

I think the Monster gig with Triumph in Europe has to do with the ownership. They had Monster sponsoring when they where Factory Kawasaki. When iceone took over Monster was gone as well. Hewitt was the reason Rockstar stepped in if not mistaken, but that brand is getting out of the sport for the best part.

I thought I'd hate the all black. But they definitely made it look nice and Factory-level with simple graphics.

Triumph's own facility in Georgia.

They're leasing Matt Walker's place (Moto X Compound).

I thought Rockstar just re-signed a fairly long term deal with US Husky this year?

Cool to see Renen's plan working out. Hopefully Pete sticks to his plan and keeps the stuff made domestically. Quality stuff and made right here at home. What better duo than a new team and new gear manufacturer?

Would hate to see it turned into just another gear brand but I'm hoping since Pete already has made his riches he doesn't see the need to turn this into New Fox 2.0.

Where’s all the sponsor logos?

I am just learning about this gear now, whats the story with them? Gear looks pretty good. From looking at the site it appears theyre going the canvas route and making customizable gear. Pretty cool if thats the case. Made in usa as well is good to see as well. What else sets them apart from other brands and what else do we need to know?

Renen belongs to Pete Fox.

probably manufactured by Fox I’d assume

So it’s overpriced. Perfect

(Labor laws, taxes, insurance, etc baked into those prices)

Pretty ignorant thing to say when you don’t even know how it costs…. It’s the same price as TLD, Fox, and others which are all made over seas.

He started Renen a few years ago. Plenty of interviews with him about the brand but the short synopsis: he left Fox, started Renen, it’s all designed and made in the USA, every month they do a drop of a different colorway/design.

Here’s one interview with Swap..

Probably a stupid question, but are there enough bikes available for sale in order for these to qualify to race. I thought there was some sort of homogulation rule that required x number of bike be available for sale

Been using Renen gear a couple years. The durability is off the charts awesome. It has become my go to brand. Looks super nice too.

They have several months to meet the homologation requirements.

Noticed the air boxes as well. Looks like maybe one is a prototype or 3D printed. Would assume they are low on parts or still deciding what is the best option

What would be considered a success for Triumph in terms of results with these riders?

I think a Success for Triumph will be to make every round , Sell every bike they make ,and work out any bugs they have as they build the brand  .  Considering 1 of there riders has never even raced SX

Yes but if you look at how their involvement was under the previous ownership it’s really peanuts.

I think they would be hoping for a podium with Swoll, which could happen.
