I have been working on this one for a little over a year now, slowly coming together. Started as a farm bike found on Facebook marketplace. Dirty but in overall good condition minus swingarm and forks. Swingarm had a 1/2 hole drilled trough it to mount a flag for dunes riding. Ended up finding a like new replacement off a fellow member. The upper tubes on the forks where worn due to wear ring not Bing replaced, not using the suspension anyways so not a big deal. Bike was framed and scrubbed to look new again, various parts on motor vapor blasted to looks better than new. Along with new top end including jug and new oem piston. Motor was in fantastic shape and some pictures below will show.

Notice no cerakote, the most overused 'mod' people do. I can't stand it now that is is so overused.
Bike as it sat when purchased/framed before cleaning
Pulled the ignition cover off to find it still looking like new to my surprise.
Also pulled the clutch apart to find absolutely no wear either no chatter marks in basket plates and fibers with no wear either I don't believe this bike had very many hours.
Also vapor blasted some engine parts to make them look new again.

Beautiful Honda build. Cheers to no cerakote or powder coat. Nice fork update. You have good taste. I found the 270mm Motostuff rotors on ebay. I am debating between Scar and Ride Eng. triple clamps. What made you go with the Ride Eng. over the other options since you have the new forks, just curious.

I will have to check ebay for the rotors. Would really like there old school round ones but I wouldn't be upset about the new wave style either. I'm a big fan of there products I run them on all of my bikes.
As for the clamps, I've never used any scar products so I'm just not familiar. Ride eng. Makes some nice stuff I really like there bar mounts. Ideally I would like to find some replica HRC clamps but it isn't a huge priority.

I absolutely hate the restyle kits they don't flow with the bikes. And they looked great originally so why change them!
Too bad the short silencer cuts the mid-top end Horsepower- a easy 2-3 hp loss!
You need the stock canadian style stock silencer- great sound= great top end too

I've been looking for a clean stock pipe and silencer. It unfortunately didn't come with it.

Got my top clamp back from Trick Eng. Bored to 55mm for the kit forks, nice to finally have them on the bike. CRguy2t got me hooked up with a matching shock that is super clean Thanks Rob! Suspension still needs to be sent out to Factory Connection to be set up for myself. Going to order DocWob 280mm hrc style front brake kit and a new oem rotor for the rear. Also need a handful of Ti bolts still and it will be complete. Nothing better then a clean Honda! Glad to have this one added to the fleet.

Bike is looking great! I’m more into the 2006 front frender and plate originally but those look actually good as it’s not too bulky!

With the clamps they fit the newer style plastics I will say I do like ride clamps they have all numberplate mounting options which is cool.
I would like to find a good shape oem seat and have a set of plastic with stock livery.
No riding yet I'm in Iowa, no snow yet but highs are only mid 40s right now and we typically have snow by now. I also have to get the suspension set up for myself I'm a big guy around 280lbs so it definitely needs re-sprung as I like My stuff stiff. Next summer I will get it dirty

Thanks man, not sure how well the lettering on the seat will hold up but it is pretty dang cool. My only complaint is Throttle Jockey does not let you alter there replica honda kits. I really dislike the fox logo on the shrouds. Not a huge deal, I asked to have it changed to the hrc logo but no go.

Coming along nicely. Is the motor stock? Might wanna think about some porting and head work, especially if you want to compare it to the RM or others.
What are you after for 280 front rotor kits. I have some motostuff/crfstuff rotors and offset brackets that fit those lugs. Glad you got a worthy shock!
Is that a cycra rear shock guard? How did you like the fitment?
I agree the seat cover is very nice but the fox bit on the shrouds is tough to swallow. Nice low hour bike to build off from but I would have drilled more holes in the swingarm to save weight, hahaha

Light speed carbon skidplate. I would like to have tabs welded to frame to eliminate the brackets. Need to find a local fab shop to help with that. For now I will just use the brackets.
