Any tracks for sale?

Start one in AZ, there are only 2 left.  A metro area of 5 million people and only 2 tracks.  It’s a shame.

^^This^^, I'd buy out the old Ocotillo or Motogrande and both have set ups with existing lights so you could run night practices in the summer (year round).  Love the 2 tracks we still have, but could definitely use a few more.

It's like Vegas except has way less people. 

A few months back 3 Palms was put up for sales.  Conroe Tx, I’d guess it still is.  I want to say it was listed at 6 million.  It’s one of the nicest tracks in the US.

I’d Bet Ultimate MX in Alvin, Tx could be bought too.  None of the good ones will be cheap.

Every track is for sale. All you have to do is have the money. 

Heard that WW Ranch in Jacksonville was for sale.

Yep saw it posted on a land sale listing, 450 acres for 18mil. Doubt a person can afford that, expect it to be bought by developers and housing put in. Like every where else in fl.

Last I heard, Grears and Malvern in ohio both had interest in selling. That didn't come from the owners mouth. Both places are typically busy in all open ride days. 

Lincoln Trail in Casey, IL was for sale last I knew.  They have huge turnouts for every event they hold since they pull from so many major metro areas (St Louis, Chicago, Indy, Louisville, and more).

I’ve never been to a Motocross track that covered more ground than 3 Palms.  I was told 3 P sets next to a sand plant/sand pit and if the right investor comes along  the whole area will be sold off.  Dirt and sand makes more money than motocross.  

I don’t know how many tracks they actually have.  I know Main, GP, Woods, River are full size.  I don’t know how many kids tracks they have.  Also never rode their Safari Trails.  One guy at the track the other day said the trails were fun to ride, but not open often.  I hope if the track sells it will stay as is and not sold off for dirt.  I’d guess as close the the San Jacinto river as it sits environmental impact could keep it from being dug up,and sold. 

Broom Tioga was for sale last year and someone bought it but I think the seller held the note and the buyer stopped paying. Could be up for sale again. 

Yep there used to be 10 or so and the two that are left are not the best of them. Someone should look into reopening Canyon one of the oldest best tracks in az.

There are several really nice private tracks in az that allow folks to ride if you want something different.

More true now than ever that motocross is rarely highest and best use of a piece of property.

Didn’t someone just purchase the old Racetown track in Adelanto, CA?  I would like to know the status on that track.

I wouldn’t have a clue what an MX track would be worth.   3 Palms is up for 6 million as I recall.  No to many tracks like it in the US if I had to guess.

Nice I road that track a couple years ago! Didn’t have my bike or gear so just ripped around on it on my friends wife’s crf150F.

Find an area that is under served, buy land (more than you think you need), get some like V-Mac (he builds great tracks at a good price) to build your track and huge pond. Get tractor, skid steer and the best water truck you can afford. Probably be half of what buying a running track would cost PLUS feeling in a hole where a track could be. Just an idea 🤷🏿‍♂️

And the question to ask prospective sellers

"Why are you selling; really?"

I don’t live too far from it. You were told right, the moto scene here is dead. 
 

It is an absolutely amazing place and track. It’s also a money pit. As much as I would love to see the place continue I’d also hate to see someone waste their life savings on it. 
 

I’m pretty sure the couple that was running it, ran an online store out of the property and lived in a mobile home and still couldn’t make it work. 

Canyon is going to be houses … it will unfortunately never reopen. 

Canyon is on state trust land and shut down by the state. Gonna have a hard time trying to buy it and reopen it…

Ouch didn't know that. I think Speedworld fell to the same fate.
