So I sold my Honda and was looking for another kx 250. Found one in Georgetown TX 200 miles south of me for $ 5182 as advertised. I emailed and called and was looking for otd price. The young lady responded and said she would get back with me . So finally a day later the Sales manager called and said $ 8420 otd price lol. He tried to tell me $ 900 set up fee $ 800 in tax and freight and whatever else Kawasaki charges them. I laughed said thanks for calling me back and hung up. They tried calling me back 5 minutes later. Unreal how stupid they think all people are when trying to buy a dirtbike. Thought I would pass this along if anyone else sees the advertised price at this location.

Hit up the guys at Cycle Center of Denton, They're family owned. The RideNow stores are trained to make as much money as they can on you while family owned stores do every thing they can to provide a good service.

Ride Now is garbage. I wouldn’t buy from them if they were the last dealer around.

Yes, all ride now dealers are this way, can’t believe people actually buy from them with their fake pricing

was bummed to see Mx factory advertising for them.

I tried to buy that bike as well.  Walked in a few days ago, asked if I could place a hold/deposit on it and was told no.  I have a 2012 Harley I was looking to trade so I showed the next day with my bike and then proceeded to be offered below wholesale value for it.  Then they showed me OTD numbers on the KX250.  Somehow they took a bike listed for $5,400 and had an OTD price of $8K.  One of the fees was a lifetime battery replacement for $500.  I laughed at the sales manager after wasting two days of my time and left.  I found this bike in Houston:  https://www.tmpnorth.com/--xInventoryDetail?id=12498176

Called them yesterday morning.  Got an OTD price which wasn't bloated with a bunch of BS fees, drove down and brought it home.  Fees were shipping, tax, doc and that's it.  Couldn't be happier. They did a fantastic job of taking care of me.  I was inside the dealership for less than 30 min to wrap up some paperwork and hand cash over.  That's how it's done.

As for the Harley...it is now listed as a private sell.  Smile

I was looking at a 2020 rmz250 (in 2020) listed right about 5K, fees were an additional $1600 before taxes - get lost.

These conglomerate dealers suck. Mom & Pop dealers only for me from now on.

Everything this man stated is true.  Ride Now is shit....  I'll walk before I'd give them a cent.

Last year I was shopping around for a CRF250R, called a ton of dealerships that had no issue giving me the OTD price over the phone. The local RideNow said I needed to drive there for them to provide the quote, I told them that was ridiculous as all the others had no problem giving me their pricing.

Now, I sold cars in the past, and our goal as car salesmen was to just get people in the door because they would be more likely to buy if they were there with the car right there in front of them, even if the price was higher than they anticipated. Sell them the dream, it’s just a few signatures away. So I already knew what their approach was here.

Checking out their Google reviews, they had a ton of 1-star reviews where people were told they had a bike/quad/whatever for sale, they would drive (sometimes for hours) to the dealership, just to be told that the unit was sold, at which point they would try to be sold into another model that they had available. Or they had excessive fees tacked on as others noted above. Bait-and-switch bullshit.

After some back and forth with the salesperson who refused to give pricing, the manager called me. Told her I would be driving to WV for the bike I wanted. She asked how much they’d be selling it for, I said $9,000 OTD. She said “well what if we can do it for $8,900?” I told her that would work. She said “alright then, we’ll see you soon.”

I’m willing to be that she was in front of the salesperson when she made that call, and probably said something like “now that’s how you get them in the door” once I hung up. And I’m also willing to bet that, had I driven up there, I would’ve experienced the same bait-and-switch bullshit that so many others had before.

I drove right past RideNow and picked up my CRF from the dealer in WV that was honest with me from the jump.

...so who's the peckerhead downvoting our shared experiences with said dealer?  Out yourself for the proper beatdown.
