9/3/2024 8:31am Cam change, minor porting, exhaust, air filter and tune. It is as potent with these changes as any other 250 in the class. Cams are the main limiting factor stock.

3/4/2024 9:14pm For the engine paint I used factory Yamaha silver epoxy paint. I may still have that around somewhere.

2/12/2024 6:59pm Thanks! I found this repro 1992 cover off of ebay and installed myself. Fit was pretty good. I mostly had to trim some material here and there to fit the seat pan and foam.

2/11/2024 2:19am It is unless you are at a pro level. Ask Tomac how his setup is working out. I am a Tomac fan BTW but he and his bike are not one with another this year. Ken looked great on his bike.

2/11/2024 2:13am Bought the bike new as a left over at the end of 2023 for $5k. Mods are seat cover, retro graphics, Acerbis plastics, Yosh exhaust and Twin Air cage and filter. Once the weather cooperates I'll load the aggressive tune on the white coupler and enjoy.

2/11/2024 2:12am Great job also. Very well done. Did you shoot the Yamaha epoxy yourself? The motor like the rest of the bike looks super clean. I love the metallic in that paint. Thankfully you can still find replacement parts for these. Best of all they tend to in-expensive.

12/21/2023 9:42am So I sold my Honda and was looking for another kx 250. Found one in Georgetown TX 200 miles south of me for $ 5182 as advertised. I emailed and called and was looking for otd price. The young lady responded and said she would get back with me . So finally a day later the Sales manager called and said $ 8420 otd price lol. He tried to tell me $ 900 set up fee $ 800 in tax and freight and whatever else Kawasaki charges them. I laughed said thanks for calling me back and hung up. They...

12/21/2023 9:42am I tried to buy that bike as well. Walked in a few days ago, asked if I could place a hold/deposit on it and was told no. I have a 2012 Harley I was looking to trade so I showed the next day with my bike and then proceeded to be offered below wholesale value for it. Then they showed...

9/29/2022 6:22am I began this build in January and finished this past May. Although it wasn't the best bike of that year in the 125 class, I chose it because I rode a 1991 YZ250 in my teens and really enjoyed that bike. Although roached out, everything was in good, restorable, condition. Frame wasn't dented or bent, motor was strong, wheels were...

9/22/2022 11:33am Thanks! I painted it myself. Ordered the paint in a can on-line. The hardest part to find was the front sprocket guard. Came from Italy and was $100.

9/22/2022 11:30am I am sure there are aftermarket kits out there. On rebuild I found a once over NOS piston and installed based on the cylinder wear.

12/18/2020 6:33pm https://812suspensiondesign.com/ Doc is great and has been doing this for years. He started with race tech and branched into his own business. Has a dyno in house to test everything. I reached out to him as he is local to me and he did a great job on my 1992 YZ125. He is also a fellow vet as well. Highly...
