Anybody look into shock springs for the 2024 yet? I'm assuming the shorter shock means the 19-23 springs will not fit, if so, any aftermarket availability?

I've already had my bike resprung.  The guy who did it said it's the same spring length as the Honda shock so springs are readily available.

Got the new PC Ti6 bolted up. Weighed the PC system vs the stock system and it is a 2.06 lbs weight savings over stock. Fit and finish was FANTASTIC! You will need a 12mm swivel socket and extension to get the head pipe nuts loose. I actually used a 12mm swivel socket on a 3/8 T handle and it worked flawless. (Shameless plug, you can get them at dcmxtools.com if you need a socket and t handle). If not, you can use an end wrench but it is not ideal at all. Ask ML 😂 Ride review coming Saturday as well as reviewing a screenless air filter cage to compliment the package.

Put a deposit on one today. Won't get it until February but hopefully there will be more parts available for them then.

Pipe looks great, excited to see more from others, but I’ll end up with a PC most likely.

I went with the Kawasaki glide plate for mine, comes in a kit that my dealer charged me $34 for. Required some dremel work to sit flush against the rails with the ‘24 weld pattern, but took less than 5 mins. Funny, they told me it was a match for the ‘19-‘24… Happy for the price I paid. May get something nicer down the road

I can confirm my 2022 KX450 Works Connection Radiator Braces fit straight onto the 2024 Frame & everything fit perfectly.

SCRUBdesignz, we've been working with the prototype bikes for years with ICEONE.  Fully tooled up, ready to take orders!  We actually get the green right too! Cool

I can second that. Mine bolted up perfect from my 19. The plastic aligned perfect as well.

Got to break mine in today. Really couldn’t be happier. Bike is very stable, and the cornering is excellent. Did notice a touch of oversteer, which is probably a fork setup thing

Chassis rocks. Soaks up tons of chop and has no bad characteristics for me. Very stable in lean angle

Motor is very good. I love the character of it -smooth and linear, highly rideable. I find myself wanting more oomph already though. Going to remove the baffle and try the CHA24 or Tickle map. Hoping for more out of low 3rd gear without adding a tooth, but that may be what I end up doing anyways. One thing at a time…

For a casual, weekend riding, out of shape Vet guy, I’m happy. I wasn’t scared at all today, and even when fatigued, I could hold on a lot easier than my ‘23 KTM.

If you’re considering one - do it! I’m thrilled, and feel great on the bike after only a few motos. There’s a lot of potential for improvement on the bike but the baseline really is excellent. I’m very happy with my decision.

Tickle map, 13/50 or 13/51 with a 116L chain (preload adjustment or adding HS to suit given tracks/conditions), 2.5mm fork height (maybe flush for West coast off-road), possibly a bit of fork oil as it breaks in, 120/90-19 MX34 come replacement time, and you’re Golden. Congrats on the good buy and enjoy that new scoot: It’s easily the best Vet weapon for the 2024 model year!

Right now there’s a few 23 450Xs that are advertised at $5,995 plus t&l. Is the 24 improved enough to pay over $4K more for?

5 mil (first line) on Forks and more towards 101-102-103 vs. typical “105” sag is what I’ve found so far that’s working for me, if too saggy I get a push that I never had on last bike (Honda… I could have 110 sag on that bike and no push lol). That’s box stock suspension, will be testing out Enzo set-up soon, maybe tomorrow. 🤔

A 1/2 turn to a turn on preload and that push went away COMPLETELY. Never owned a KX and was surprised how sensitive and easily it was to eliminate the push. Stock tires, will switch to Pirelli soon.

I checked sag from the factory and it was about 102mm without any adjustment, so once it breaks in I’ll fool around with it. Left the forks at 5mm. Will give it a few more hours before it’s play time. Honesty it’s probably my poor lazy technique more than anything.

Got the first ride in today on the PC Pipe. Definitely has a little better bottom end but the mid range is really where I noticed a difference. Not much difference on top from what I felt.

Tried 4 maps today. Stock, Chavez, Dirt Bike Mag, and Tickle. The Dirt Bike Mag map was actually really good on the bottom end but signed off early. Wasn’t impressed with the Tickle map. I know I’ll prolly get roasted here for this, but I think the stock map may be the best? Still have a few maps to try and going to build a few on my own.

Stock gearing but I may end up going to a 51 to make 3rd a bit more useable. Still blown away the pull 2nd gear has and how far it pulls on this bike. Definitely going to put a 116L chain on and get the rear axle pushed back. There is some instances where I do feel a little nervous feeling in the front end. I am at 105 sag and 3mm fork height. I haven’t touched a clicker yet to be honest, but the suspension seems to have softened up quite a bit from brand new. As soon as the screenless filter cage shows up I’ll try that as well.

Put my SR KYB forks on off my 22 and the bike got even better, throwing the chain way back with some PC axle blocks helps stability and doesn’t lose the quick turning

I have the X, a few rides so far.  Haven’t taken out on single track but it’s very similar to the difference in the previous years.  One bonus point is the X this year has the DID VT2 x ring chain, same as what comes stock on KTM XC’s, good chain!

Nope, the Sr KYB is just a nicer version of the 250’s KYB set which 250 450 and SR are all interchangeable
