I think that was a good " PR " move for James.
He came clean, said his actions were wrong, it's all good.
The guy is just as fallible as as the rest of us.
I respect his honesty, and the fact he doesn't defend his actions.
Good luck on Sat. Anaheim 2 James.

Well the Saw it live version of big bad Bazza the Security Legend and Dad of the year Dave looks like it has been taken down.
Dave you are a real unit to go on J7.COM (whatever it is called) and fucking LIE is bad enough but then to include your SON to make it more beleivable is Sad.
Hopefully you were lying again and you don't have a son, I hope you dont you lying piece of BL, P, Racer combo.

Seems to me Lil Jimmy has had to come out and admit he kicked / pushed the bike over because the TAPE may be coming out.
Just hope it has the verbal threats recorded as well wow that will be a bestseller.

There is no way he will ever make some people happy. IMO

He said the triple was his fault.

He did not blame Reed for the crash.

He said his emotions got the best of him.

He could have apologized to KP but we dont know if he has or not.

If the fans have an issue with him it may be their own issues.

That was much better than the generic press release they had.

Addressing the issue with Partridge was huge I think for a lot of folks, that was my sticking point about the whole thing.

I understand that shit happens it just bugs me when people don't own up to it.
The little aside to K-Dub was a class move as well.

The rest of it I never had a problem with.

I did notice that he never lifted up his left arm the whole time......

One thing I can tell from the video, IMO, is that James does not look like he was in all that much pain. He's moving around real good, twisting his torso and smiling (no grimicing). It said that it was done on Monday, so I think he is going to be close to 100% come this Saturday.

I know people can have a high tolerance of pain, but they usually aren't all that "chipper" either.

He shows again he is a douche. The whole time he is smiling like his shit don't stink and he can do no wrong. Hard to believe a word he says with thay constant smirk.

I hope someone knocks those big ole pearly whites right out of his mouth this year, Or if he keeps riding like he has lately he may do it himself.

Why can't he do an interview and appear sincere.
Ok so if Shorty fucked up and made a video with an appology and he was smiling would you say shit then? Probably not and he smiles the most out of any body in the pits so get over it bro

At least James was being honest and fessed up.
I respect him more for making that video and telling us how it was and also admitting to his mistakes at the same time.

What I get from the video is:
James is just a kid.
He's led a sheltered life.
He's a little self centered (understandable and common these days.)
When he is put on the spot, he has a speech impediment. (Many people exhibit stuttering, etc when uncomfortable.)
If he would drop the mister cool act, he wouldn't be putting so much additional pressure on himself.

Things could have been much, much worse after the race in the Kawasaki pits. Maybe next time, the pit pass will also have the bonus of "Cops Filmed on Location!" I can see it now... James running through the pits with tazer probes hanging from his back, screaming that he's the "star of the show" while half a dozen Phoenix PD chase after him with their billy clubs.

I think whoever was doing the interview could have put some tougher questions to him, that would have probably made James come off better and satisfied more people.

EX - After his explanation on the KP incident ask if he understands that people are more concerned that he is a risk to others not to himself. Did it not occur to him - both from a safety viewpoint as well as strategic one - to simply wait a few more turns until the traffic allowed better passing. Just because he felt like pulling the trigger does not mean it is safe to do so. I'm still not sure if he understands that. And ask if he said anything to KP afterwards.

EX - All the stuff that has been done to him by Reed? The interviewer could have reminded him of all his incidents - mostly high profile ones - to other racers as well as Reed. I think he is getting just a little paranoid - or trying to sway opinion - about Reed. Reed ( IMHO ) didn't pass him in the Main because he simply wasn't able to. Reed clearly has not shown great speed yet on the green bike.

EX - the "head slap". Ask if he considered that both he and his bike were on top of Reed's now broken hand?

Maybe time didn't allow for those questions but that is what is needed in this sport. Those wouldn't exactly be called TOUGH questions either but they certainly would have helped.

Is there anything that say "Spode" more than a dude wearing a jersey to an SX?

Ah Shit.......i was one of the guys who came down on James pretty hard after this weekend , and i have to say , it was good to see some sort of an apology ( or whatever you want to call it?). Who really cares what the quality of the interview was that good , or the quality of the video ect......it was him and his own words.

Believe me , i was pissed as a fan / racer myself at that damn Kyle P triple thing.....But Kyle himself seems to be over it......so i think we all should to. I wish James well , and hope he gets 100% healthy and back on track. I wanna see him up there battling with RD , RV , Hill , KW , ect.........

I'm done pissed about it. I can't believe it's almost Thursday here and we are all still here bitching about it.......we must be bored as hell!

I think that video accomplished several things.
1. James, in his own way, fessed up to everything.
2. Proved what a few level headed people theroized, James had not watched the video of his crash in the main with Reed BEFORE he went to the Kawi pit. Once he watched it he realized that it was in fact a racing deal.
3. James, like him or not, is a 24 year old kid and like most others his age have developed the "like" speech pattern. It will pass.
4. Showed he could be in the mix this weeked.
5. Proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, that some people truely hate the man, and nothing will EVER be good enough.
6. Finally, it showed that the majority of the people here are not really lovers of the sport, or good or bad fans. Most here are just drama hounds that like to insult others behind the security of a keyboard, when in true life they are either to poorly talented to go turn there own laps, or so socially inept that it is the only way they can express themselves.

You speak too sensibly for this place. I'll have to ask you to dumb it down a bit so the rest of the members here can understand!

By James doing this video, he shows he cares and didn't just have his people put out a press release. Most riders would never do a video to talk straight to the fan's in his own words and even admit that he had done wrong. He is only 24 years old, but showed some huge maturity by do this.

I have to admit I have never seen another racer do something like this and I commend him for coming out into the public's eye and talking to us.

If anyone still has hard feelings towards James Stewart after watching this video, I don't think those people would ever say anything nice about him anyway.

Thank you James for being the bigger man and not just hiding, hopping everything would blow over. You showed the Champion you are. Good Job!
