Seems like Hunter has been a car guy for a minute now. He had a nice AMG GT Coupe before I remember seeing. Jett has said multiple times that he will set a championship reward goal such as buying a house or a nice car if he can win the title he’s going for. Everyone needs extra little motivations or self bets to stay locked in.
Tomac on his green GT3: "I don't like to talk about what I have"
Hunter has bad taste in watches and bad taste in wheels. They both deserve everything they have tho.
Don't go there, made some good money on crypto just before COVID, had my eye on a beautiful used AP for 18k. Just couldn't bring myself to do it though as that is an insane amount of money for a watch. Now you can't buy one for under 40k!!!
Did buy a Rolex Hulk though at sensible money 😉 . It's just not my dream AP?

Good for em, well deserved. However I would have bought something different (2014 Ferrari isn't my taste). I'm love Porsches.
To the victor go the spoils. Enjoy it boys. Nobody gave it to you. You earned it.
Bought a SS Daytona (with box & papers) 7-8 years ago for $10k… 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for posting. I just had some great laughs. How can you improve Jett? “Eat more than three donuts without getting sick.” Hahah
Old guys and young dudes rarely have the same point of view! The old guy in me says bank about 10 million in some safe investments and then buy toys. Pro MX is very dangerous and the Money tree doesn't bear fruit forever.
Pretty nice sports cars for sure3
I'd take a well built sim rig over a Ferrari any day. I can drive any car I want, and even get them out of 2nd gear!
Add in a brother and it's a no brainer. The ability to race daily vs always fighting the temptation to make some poor decisions on a Sunday cruise...
The money saved can go to driving experiences and track days.
And who knows, maybe it's prep for a career with 4 wheels later on.
I noticed in the paradigm video that just came out about Jett that Dazzy said by winning the outdoor 450 title Jetts base salary for next year went up $400k. I haven’t heard about clauses like that over the years of reading stories about their salaries and bonuses. Do you think that has happened for his previous 4 championships? Getting an increase on the next years salary? Or maybe to a lesser degree being 250 ? Either way, winning 5 titles in a row must be good for the bank balance.
I have been waiting for you to talk Jann Mardenborough!
me and the partner spoke about this while watching it and had the same thought... even if it was half that amount though his 250 career.. he must of made some bulk bank.
as for HRC.. at what point do you stop increasing the salary? not saying he will, but if he was to go on a run and just win titles back to back for the years to come. when does HRC say enough hahaha? and if it did reach that point.. who could afford to pay that amount of $$ for a rider? like RC4 for example or McGrath
RC's deal with Suzuki was structured this way.
"Blank exercised Honda’s first right of refusal clause and forced Suzuki to show the offer they made to Carmichael: $4,700,000 in guaranteed base salary for the 2005 racing season, which increased to $5,300,000 in 2006 on the success of two championships (often called accelerator clauses)."

Seems like a safe bet that all contracts signed by former champions include a base salary bump if they win more titles. Seems reasonable to assume even multi year rookie deals have them (ex. Deegan wins a title in year 2, year 3 goes up).
I'd be less likely to think it was a year over year increase, and was more of win a c-ship in his first year incentive clause, because like you said, year over year has the potential to get really expensive.
What else do you have?
Pit Row
That was my thought too. Is it capped at a certain amount. I guess that’s where the agent comes in with whatever deal they can grind out. My next question is if Jett does well this Sx season and his next contract is getting done what on earth will that contract be worth and will any other brands go after him??
Just to put things in perspective, the Ferrari pictured is an F12 which sells for around $250,000. I believe that Jett made at least $7m this season. That equates to 3.5% of his annual income. This is the same as someone who earns $100k a year buying a car for $3,500 or someone who earns $500k a year buying a car for $17,500. Judging by the vans/trucks I see at the track every week, the average moto guy is far more reckless with their finances than Jett.
Something else to note is that these types of cars either hold their value or in most cases gain value over time.
Do you really think Jett pulled more than 7 mil? Seems high.
250SX Championship + (6 wins?)
450MX championship + (22 wins)
450SMX Championship + (3 moto wins)
He definitely made over $7M
Exactly, I see guys at the track with $120k plus trucks alone, not to mention the trailer and bike setups. Not like Jett and Hunter bought matching 812 Comps. This is actually a fairly frugal purchase considering....
Any 812 would have been mad crazy..
Badazz cars. Who cares, their $$. Not ours
I couldn't imagine being that young n' rich. We have decent jobs but live paycheck-to-paycheck
Clearly they are smart about it too as they bought 2014's not '23s and let someone else take the depreciation hit.
Yeah, a 2023 would be a least $500K more. Instead, they paid a third for what a new one would be.
So crazy to me that someone being successful and making good enough money to afford something like a Ferrari F12 is frowned upon or talked bad about. Roczen would show up to press conferences in his NSX, Barcia has had a few Lamborghini's, Tomac has his 991 GT3RS, etc. I wish these guys would show their outside of moto hobbies more often. In todays world, cars like these are often times investments.
95% of cars are depreciating assets, not investments. If you are buying a car as an investment, you buy the special ones (limited editions, extremely rare models etc.) and you don't drive them.
