The drift over on the triple, on the first lap, in heavy traffic was indeed stupid and representative of Stewart's "I own the track" attitude. We all have seen guys like this in local races. When they pass someone over a jump they can't just go by cleanly. They have to whip it so that their back tire gets dangerously close to the guy they are passing. It's an intimidation move. They are trying to scare the guy and they want him to think "hey, this nut is crazy" so that they will think twice before racing closely with the person again. It's the same thing Stewart was doing by constantly crossing lines on Dungey and pinching him off and the same thing he did last year when he crossed over on Reed and ripped his fork guard off. It's a way of making a statement and scaring the crap out of someone.

The crash in the main was obviously just a racing incident and bad luck for both of them

glad you put that up scotty..i woulda had to wait a whole week to find out what all the ka-fuffle was about. i got no probs supporting JS...IMO what happened on the night with both incidents comes with the level of speed these guys travel...i'm sure those of you who do ride (& on closer inspection of the video Wink ) when your running a similar line (as in behind) the rider up front,you'll make an adjustment on the upface,so you'll end up crossing the straight line...hence when he landed,partridge was on he way down,& ba-da boom...as for reed chopping off the line,can't do much about that,last time i checked...you don't go slow over the whoop section if you want to skim across the top..JS cuts down early in the turn,reed still powering down the whoops...looks up to see JS &..hello,they're both on the ground..what happened afterwards in the pits...make's great drama for Round 3..Bring it on. Cool

The crash is a racing incident. Plain and simple. Both trying to get to the front and not paying attention. Reed took the same line davi milsaps did and stewart was forced to cut down because of another rider. Seems more coincidence than anything. Could have happened to say short and windham and we wouldn't say a thing. The whole pushing him off was blown way out of proportion. Is reed suppose to wait and ask JS to get off his hand/arm? Probably not. Sadly enough this will probably go down as the crash that ruined the 2010 season if CR's hand is really broken. Not good when one of your current sport icons is sidelined, especially in this economy.

Now to the fun part. Walking into the pits and pushing over a factory big money race bike is just lame and uncalled for. JS should be called the fastest chump on the planet for that move. I am sure JS was looking for CR and became frustrated when he was nowhere to be found. So he took it out on CR's bike. If anyone of us were in the pits after a race and someone came over and pushed our bike over there would be a fight. Reed probably doesn't even care he pushed it over but kawasaki should. I don't think i have ever heard of something so childish. Oh well the apologies and truth will come out this week.

reed did nothing wrong and stewart did nothing wrong during that incident.

but what stewart did wrong was drifting out on partridge on the landing of the triple and then goingto reeds pit to knock his bike. thats bullsh¡t.

i have never liked stewart because every season he knocks somebody out with a dumb move like he did to partridge last saturday.

It seems to me the riders dont respect stewart because he is too cocky and too dirty. and during the final stretch of the championship this stewart vs reed rivalry will be against stewart as reed wont have anything to lose when comes back.

It's simple james wants to cut to the inside line to pass the riders in front of him chad thinks the same but is already on the inside line james did not see chad and chad did not expect james to cut down. Result they go down together.

Racing incident, Stewart Turned down on Chad and they came together. As for the slap on the back of the helmet, looks to me like Stewart landed on Chads hand and all he was trying to do was get out from under Stewart. Nothing more nothing less.

It's MX, a tough sport and tempers sometimes flair it's all part of racing.

I didnt see shit except for Reed taking Stews line away.

On a bowl berm, you cant touch if you fall inside. They got together and both went down.

Sure Stew is pissed, that's normal. I doubt Reed thought Stew was gonna square off the turn and come down like he did.

If anything, Stew was going to cut back underneath Reed and shoot back into the lead.......but Reed was right there.

Yeah thats exactly what happened Shue and Jeffro if Chad wanted to put James on the ground there he wouldve closed the gap deeper into the turn and swept across his front wheel taking it out. This isnt the beginner class if he wanted to put james on the ground he wouldve alot sooner its not to tough to run a guy deep into a corner when your 2 seconds a lap quicker than your surrounding traffic.

I think that both are just racing, plain and simple racing. James has been known to change lines and push and rub, could be part of why he has been able to get through traffic so quickly. What we don't know (though it is no excuse!) is what was said on the ground when both guys were down. Chad may have said some things that pushed James to look for him in the Pits?? As I said, it doesn't excuse anything, but tempers are pushed for sure along with adrenaline from being out there. I have seen it just at the track practicing, so I know what is possible.
