Oh man, can you imagine that Larry Ward guy whining to the AMA... I'd love to see footage of that!

Can't believe Chad still doesn't have any points.

racer

You should read all the posts, the fine has been upheld.

I wonder if you realise yet that people cannot take your posts about James and Chad seriously now as everybody knows how biased you are. Shit you are so predictable i dont usually even read your posts any more., i must be tired to have read this one haha

I like Chad, but I wouldnt be suprised if he just called it a season after this. No points in the first two rounds and being forced to miss the 3rd. Whats the point?
I wouldn't blame him. At this point in his career, he doesn't need to. The only reason to race now is for kawi to have him out there, and if he can get some wins, then there is the pride factor.

Well it's pretty disappointing that the "one-race suspension and a $5000 fine" were upheld Angry
I'll still enjoy the fact that he is done for the season.

I can just see the promotors begging the AMA not to make Chad miss the 3rd round, that would honestly suck for the sport and it would just be bad business, i can't see it happening.

agree with that,
and as far as chad reed giving in the whole season no way unless his hand is broke.he may be 40 + points down but in just a short 2 races theres been major carnage and with 15 more races chits bound to happen again

Reeds problem is when he has tried to pass Stewart in the past he never does it clean. I am sure Brooks already had a video ready with Reeds past bullshit moves.

I Can't wait to watch this on TV so we can see what really happened.

We have not heard from Larry since his statement on lappers last yr. 3 or 4 weeks after his lappers need to get out of the way statement the dude has his rider Kyle C ( A LAPPER) try to take Reed out.

To straighten out some of the language here...

There was a penalty handed down by the AMA. It was appealed by the Monster Energy Kawasaki team. The appeal is what was upheld.

That means no penalty, and no fine for Chad.

James just got a warning.

From racerxonline:

"It's 3:44 am and we just got news that the appeal filed by Chad Reed was upheld. No penalty will be given. Now, we start typing!"

Doesn't that mean he CAN race?

Ahhhh GuyB posted as I was typing this...thanks!

And I will enjoy the fact that you will cry like a baby for the season when your dear little stewie doesn't win the championship....actually I wish I lived in canada (not really) so I could come over your place each Saturday night and watch you sit in your stewart replica gear crying like a little girl who just lost her barbie doll !!!!!

And one more thing.....Yes I am a Reed fan so at least after the sx I can watch him come out and win another outdoor title......what will you be doing? I will have a guess and say you will still be sitting in your stewart replica gear crying still !!!!

Chad is getting his hand and arm checked out on Sunday. Initial reports suggest that the outer bone in his left hand (pinky finger) is broken and will likely need surgery, since the ends were overlapping. Apparently his arm also took a pretty severe beating (possibly from a handlebar).

R-acer, if you're suggesting that you're glad he's hurt...well, at best that's pretty lame.

It's not that I want to see him hurt, or any rider hurt for that matter, but I feel like reed has gotten away with murder over the last few years with some real dirty riding.

If surgery is required do you think we will see him back out there before the season is over?

Penalty or not, Reed has two DNFs and possibly a broken hand, he's done for the title. Stewart has a 15th and possibly broken ribs, he's likely done, too. The baloney about a helmet slap and pushing a bike off a stand is just two guys who put a hell of a lot of effort into a series and they both know it's over.

For the Aussie guys who think the original AMA penalty punished Reed more than Stewart because Stewart is an American - BS. If Reed hit Stewart after the crash right on the stadium floor, he's going to get suspended, no matter where he's from. Riders getting in a scuffle out of public view is one thing, but if you get in a fight on the stadium floor, you're going to get a stiff penalty. I haven't seen any of this, but maybe the AMA upheld the appeal because they might have reviewed the tape and maybe Reed didn't really hit James all that hard. That's just speculation - but if Reed had really taken a hard swing at Stewart on the stadium floor, I'm amazed that he's not suspended. Maybe the AMA sees he has two DNFs and possibly a broken hand, what's the point of suspending him? He's already blown his season.

Thank you Guy B
But I actually thought what had been said all along is that the Kawa appeal was upheld , hence lets go racing.

So maybe they finally got this right Reed Cleared of any wrong doing and Racers boy still has the OFFICIAL WARNING IN place.

Good Night Racer old Mate.

Hoping to see both riders next weekend, sounds doubtful but you never know.

That depends on what other injuries (if any) that he has. If it's just the hand? I'm no doctor (and I don't play one on the Internet), it seems like that would be a fairly simple surgery. I don't see why he wouldn't be back.

I'd question whether James is going to be back next week. Once the adrenalin wears off, he's going to be one very sore guy.

Seriously, murder?

I said this about you from the start you have never raced and I really think I am right.

Calm down goober, the real reason Stewart is in this situation is because of HIS boneheaded move in the heat!!!

Btw, I would bet any kind of money James has caused more crashes than reed has over each's career. Want to take that bet?

Thanks, were you near the crash with 1 and 22?

I really hope 22 didn't break his hand when he hit James helmet. I doubt it more likely the break caused the excess anger. That said I wasn't there.

I was curious bc I know a hand break can be simple or career ending. I was hoping doc or someone gave you a little input.

I think at the end of the day reed's season is not over otherwise kawasaki wouldn't waste there time in apealing the one race suspension, he's wrist/hand will propably be fixable to carry on, if so he still has a chance at the title, besides is bubba injured? will soon find out during the week I can tell you he will wake up sore the next morning. RD has the talent but I carn't see podiums every round not this year, RV not a threat to win races but a threat in consistency, who knows the truth is this week will soon find out if reed can race, if so he's still in it. You carn't say anything about he's performace on the track because we havn't had a chance to see it yet!

you can if it is your private home they enter. This was a public situation so rules a bit different. Sounds like a lot more on this story to come out. IMO they both need to sit a race.

He has no chance at the title with two DNFs in the first two races. He's 40+ points behind regardless.
