Checkered flag at the top of the score sheet indicates yes, he did. Not a fan of his, but that's pretty cool for him to race it and finish
I think he always has.
Funny, JLaw wouldn't play ball and paid the price, Deegan wouldn't play ball and became very wealthy (not a slight, just the facts).
Deegan is a marketing machine who under the surface toes the corporate line and understands the importance of the sport needing a villain. J-Law didn’t care about any of that and wasn’t a character, he went full send- you can’t compare the two in that way (and I’m a J-Law fan)

Only a handfull of riders have ridden like jlaw. Pourcel, Bayle, Lechien, and lil Hanny.
Couldn’t be. Offroad guys here said he wouldn’t top 10 the womens class lol
Looks like he was 2nd.
Actually true, glad to see people on this thread eating crow though.
Lol, pretty sure the women’s class is harder than the industry class
It is. 1st place woman was 3rd overall. 2nd place woman finished ahead of the number 1 industry guy.
Are there also GNCC sand rounds?
Florida.
The Florida GNCC is all literally just sand, mud, and palmettos.
Not for nothing but 33rd in the 10am race is respectable considering all the circumstances.
2nd place women, not the 10th place women lol
JLaw who has never ridden GNCC’s, got off couch all cracked out (just look at how he looks) and did decent. Guys said he has no chance at even finishing. Just be impressed a 35 year old with serious substance issues got off the couch and did kinda decent considering he has never raced GNCC before. I guarantee he isn’t getting 2nd in even the +40 class at the GH vet national, and he’s raced MX his entire life.
I honestly think that is years of substance abuse is the reason he looks like that. I doubt Phoenix Honda or any of the other sponsors that helped him today would pony up for a crackhead. Plus he did go out and put in 2 hours on the bike today something I doubt a tweeker could do.
Let JLaw ride! Maybe more ex pros would ride more if our dumbasses wouldn’t put such high expectations on them. Let them ride for the love of riding, that is all.
Cracked out…. lol. My first impression was that he looks healthier than he has in many years past. Not to mention actually showing up and then finishing in a respectable position at a GNCC race, off the couch. Glad to see he’s still able to get out there and have fun with it.
For one, I’m team Jlaw on this. Literally read my post.
and 2, it’s not my opinion that he currently has substance abuse issues. But you can believe what you want. I will say he is more consistent at keeping it together these days but he falls off the wagon a few times a year. Which is when he goes MIA. Again, that’s not an opinion. But that’s all I will say on that, no need to convince anyone.
Pit Row
Sounds like another “off-road/cross country is easy,” comment 🙄 The AM Industry class is in no way the equivalent of Vet 40+ at Vet Nationals. You’d have to look to Vet/Senior B an A classes in the PM for the equivalency, and those riders are WORLDS faster than the Industry class or ANY AM racers.
Congrats to J-Law. Even in the AM classes, for a moto guy who hasn’t raced in years, that’s impressive.
"crack head off the couch..." Damn. That's rough.
People still holding grudges from 10 years ago like this guy owes anybody anything. It's comedy.
Duder lined up a brand new factory looking machine... with all new fresh gear to have some fun in the woods and you all dog him EVEN AFTER having a decent result.
Always cool to see an ex-pro of that level doing some woods riding. For what it's worth, he has done these before. He showed up and won the AA Class in an ECEA Harescramble race in NJ back in 2012. I recall him having one of those Lincoln F150's with some rims and his Suzuki in the bed. Won the race, loaded and left.
Funny to see the bashers saying he couldn't finish a GNCC. Kid grew up in the sand pits of southern NJ. Glad to see he did well at Ironman.
You made up your own quote pulled from a comment defending Jlaw to make this post lol reading comprehension is key.
Pretty disrespectful audience in here. Some of you guys should be ashamed.
I remember the good old days when a jlaw thread would be 10 pages by now .
Living his life, lots of judgy creeps in here.
They’re all matthes dick riders he posted about the thread on twitter then all these comments started popping up.
Ironic
Nothing ironic about it...
Very Ironic.
