Billy at Luxon makes an awesome product. The previous gen KTM triple clamps are on sale for $299 which is a crazy deal comes with ti hardware bar mounts etc.
Many of you work in industries like aero, med device, etc., and can appreciate the engineering sophistication that Luxon's products come from. Their clamps are works of art, by design - literally. Rest assured, deep thought, comprehensive analysis & testing, and above all - the correct boundary conditions are applied in their design process/designs (XTrig plays well here, too). The shapes you see come about only through FEA skill. "Let the analysis set you free."

BTW, I have no affiliation with Luxon (for all I know, "Billy" is the "Billy Who?" of the "Man Funnel" design? http://www.crfsonly.com/reviews/billywho/manfunnel/manfunnel.php). I just admire their designs - and a trained eye can see they operate on a different plane in the moto industry with respect to clamps. I also really appreciate Luxon's many technical share-outs on this forum. They are accurate, thorough, and fun.

Just put a MOJO bar mount with new rubber cones on my bike. I’ll test it on Saturday. Bolted on nicely. It’s a clean design and has a lifetime warranty. The MOJO guys ride at our local tracks and it’s an easy decision to support them.

I’m admittedly a huge Luxon fanboy and love their designs as well as all of the technical input they share here (most of it is over my head) but I couldn’t pass on the deal I got on these X-Trigs. They are beautifully made too seeing them this close for the first time!

Hello, i am the owner of crappy Ride Engineering. The reason we use 8 pinch bolts instead of 4 is to create a better structure for our bar mount so that it resists twisting better if you fall over in a corner. We dont just rely on the one-piece top. Think of the roof on a house or a bridge. 8 beams will be harder to knock over than 4. As far as replacing the polymers with aluminum, we believe rubber mounting adds comfort and reduces vibration. That's why we design all our triple clamps that way.
I've been running a Ride Engineering oversize bar mount in GNCC, hard Enduro, and MX events for 3 seasons. It's been through the most gnarly impacts short of cartwheeling the bike. Have not twisted the bars one single time. So there's that

I put an hour on my bike at our new local track (Stillwater MX) today with the MOJO bar clamp with no problems. I did NOT go down today so not a real test. Sorry not sorry.
What I did like was the offset moving the bar forward just a bit. It moved me slightly forward on the bike which is a good thing. I get lazy and ride off the back so a good review today.

8 bolt bar clamps is what HRC was using at the turn of the century, so I guess it makes them "factory".
Wink

Apart from this, I gotta say I was impressed by Luxon's videos where they explain their designs and why they do what they do. Very convincing.

I crash hard.

Do you have any tips - besides don't crash - to stop this madness ?

Reading some of the comments, i'm wondering why so many people are haters? Luxon makes a nice product however its $180.00. BRP makes a stout product at $168. Our made in the USA bar mount retails for $110 is strong, light weight, and come with removeable machined stainless steel posts with shoulders that limit how far you can tighten the rubber or polyurethane cones to keep them floating and absorbing shock and vibration. Yes they can bend in a crash and are designed that way so you don't bend your expensive handlebars. Ty Masterpool raced the entire outdoor series on our bar mounts. I see BRP just uses bolts and so does MX Bonz which could be made in China based on his low price point ($80). We also offer different offset bases that can move the bars further or closer, 5 and 10mm spacers to raise the handlebars, replacement posts, and polyurethane cone kits in both a soft and firm compound with cupped washers for $30. Sometimes you have a wicked crash and nothing bends and other times you tip over and everything does-that's just dirt bike riding. The Ride Engineering one-piece bar mount is our best selling product. I hope this information helps when choosing your next bar mount.

I used to crash very often, and bent a lot of bar mount bolts. But I was happy to replace them instead of replacing my Bars like I was before getting rubber mounted  mounts and stronger than the standard 7/8 bars. Like others have said, the energy has to go someplace. And if You're crashing hard. Something's gonna bend.

Maybe some of the bar mounts like Luxon or Ride , or Xtrig might help  on some crashes. But at some point there will be something that bends.

I’m all for a discussion and comparisons, but if we’re going to compare prices, let’s do it accurately and apples to apples… None of our mounts are $180. More specifically (links included to show my work):

Our KTM mounts retail for $165 and those include OEM KTM cones, studs and fasteners (we used to sell these with a Ti bolt option for $190). The comparable Ride mount is $100 plus the fastener kit, which is another $60. So, Ride is only $5 less than our mount. One can argue that you don’t necessarily need the fastener kit, but our setup solves some other deficiencies with the stock design that you would be stuck with otherwise.

Comparing a Honda (Kawi and Yamaha are similar) mount, ours retails for $130 where the comparable Ride mount is $110. The Ride mount doesn’t look to include the nuts and washers like ours does, which would add another $8. So ours is only $12 more expensive, but it comes with titanium rather than stainless steel mount studs (also with shoulders to prevent over-tightening same as Ride). Plus our mounts include risers so you can adjust the height to either stock or + 5mm, which is an extra cost for the risers (+$15) and I would assume you need longer studs (+$25) from Ride, though it's not very clear (if you can use the same studs, then that saves $25, but you lose the shoulder to limit over-tightening mentioned earlier).

Comparing Suzuki mounts, ours are $100 and Ride is $110, though ours require you re-use the stock M10 mounting bolts.

Finally, we have an all new bar mount system that will be available in the next week or two. It’s more expensive ($190/$240 depending on fitment) than everything above, but has a lot of advantages. The concept is more in competition with the Xtrig PHDS mounts than any of the Ride mounts, but it’s cheaper than the Xtrig mount ($200/$250 depending on fitment) and includes three different hardness levels of rubber bushings for fine tuning (which is an upcharge from Xtrig). Available for most all brands here (if we don’t have it listed yet, it’s in the works). This is also a great upgrade for those with solid bar mounts like Yamaha 2-Strokes, some KTM/Husky/GasGas bikes, and Beta as it allows the bars to be rubber mounted for more comfort and vibration absorption.

Hope this clears things up some, but reply here if anyone has questions!

That is the engineering/sales version of a mic drop 🎤

Nothing against Ride or BRP, certainly not a hater, and I currently have XTrig but the above is why I'll be getting Luxon for my lil 125.
