Just have to start living with the fact that the usa is no longer the leader in the world at most things. Probably 20-50th in education, 50th plus in life expectancy and worse in quality of life. Our schools are a real mess, and even when you walk on the streets in the usa you can immediately notice how filthy it is compared to europe. Truth be told america has a lot of soul searching to do and the disappointment at mxon is just ripple effects of a sad and decayed culture

We won last year my man don’t jump off a bridge just yet

AP, Craig, and Hampshire stood up when no one else would, and deserve respect for that, but our team was lapped.  5-18, 16-20 and 16-10 scores were not what was I think most expected.  Dean Ferris,  who retired, beat AP who is a factory racer.  He also beat Craig, who granted hasn't raced in a year but still clearly something is amiss with Team USA's efforts at the MXdN.

The only thing you American's should be embarrassed about is your attitude when your team does poorly.  You should be applauding their efforts and thanking them for stepping up.

Just STFU and stop bringing non-moto shit in here….and be thankful that these guys went and proudly represented their country and did the best they could…thank you team USA!

If you read any comments around here 98% are thankful and applauding.  Just saying

OP, look up the definition of delusional. If you think the team that was sent was going to best everyone, refer to the previous definition.

It's on par with their moto scores all summer. I had higher hopes, but I'm not surprised with the outcome.

This years “B” team was not comparable to the second tier riders that shocked the world in 1981. That team had 4 riders who would go on to win SX, National and World championships. With the competition nowadays you cannot expect to send anything but your best to have a chance at winning. I appreciate our riders going and applaud their efforts, but I knew top 5 was a long shot. I’m just happy they went and am not sure if we had sent our top 3 riders if they would have stood a chance against the French/Australian teams

This team was not built to win, it was built to make a showing at the MXON. Some around here including Flinttropics thought they were contenders and told me I had my head in my ass for thinking otherwise. 😂 The boys did what they could and I’m proud of them for stepping up and racing their bikes draped in the stars and bars. Onto next year!

I'm glad that AP, RJ and CC represented the US at this MXdN.  No regrets!

So, looking ahead to next year, can we start by getting the AMA and whoever else has to make decisions to first speak with all the teams to get buy-off. We should know within the next month, which teams are willing to go, and which one's aren't. ( At least the ones that aren't we'll know up front)

Then right after that, start the fund raising activities, so the teams don't have to get burned to cover the costs. This could be in a pool to go to the 3 teams covering the event next year.

Maybe even put an invitation out to all the riders whether they want to participate next year, so they can look forward to it and plan.

Anything different would be a good thing.

I just know that if USA had somehow won, the “props for the effort” crowd would have been shitting on the GP boys for ages…

This may be a wake up call (or something that frighten the big dogs again next year, or to push the promoter to split a bit the racket) but it was far from embarrassing. Multiple factors came in. They almost all the time took pretty shitty starts on a track that was hard to pass on ; it was rough but more importantly super tight for that level, for instance look at Febvre's first moto win then only a 7th where he battled half the moto with a very brave italian, Forato, A+, who was riding for his life to get his team on the podium. That meant a top 3 start = maybe a moto win, top 20 start, well good luck to crack the top 10.

The only rider I saw that was really walking on water was Jett, absolutely amazing, I haven't seen rides like that since Herlings, Tomac or RV when at their peak. Pretty high notes for Renaux (lowest individual score of the event, again!), Prado, and Kroc, A++. Vialle, Fernandez (very unfortunate crashes but they will be a force next year with Farres too), Febvre, Seewer, the surprising Guillod, and all the Italians, great as well, A+.

It was not simple ; many teams were relatively equals, a start was making a big difference. That team USA was not far of the podium whereas honestly I was indeed feeling they would be a bit spanked. It was very predictable, Craig was quite of the couch, RJ is not often a great starter and that is not really his type of track, and Pless was also quite often a minute down on Jett, and at least 2 of them are not known to be regular great starters, that doesn't help, so in the end it is quite logical, it was for a top 3 with some luck, and more realistically a top 5-8. GP guys are no slotch on a typical GP track, and don't worry too much, most GP guys would look the same on typical AMA or SX tracks.

In the end, not the best day of course, but still honourable ; lots of a circumstances, shitty starts, tight track difficult to pass on, slick and tricky surface they are not used to, 2 riders coming from relatively bad injuries, etc. Honestly it was a good effort that didn't pay as much dividend as expected but it was not bad at all.

Is this the kind of thing you do when you don't like a participant and want them banned? Do you have a history of this behavior? This is bullying sir and i think you may have broken forum rules.

Should have sent Ty Masterpool

great starts and faster currently than Craig

Appendix just got removed. I went down the list and the 1st person I saw that could have gone was Marchbanks, but we aren't sure if he wanted to go or if Club was able to send him. Craig raised his hand and was an easy send, it just didn't end up working out.

As a foreigner it’s great to see the USA there. That result isn’t that bad when you appreciate the quality of the opposition. That’s maybe where US fans don’t appreciate the depth as it’s not quite the same in the AMA

there are 7/8 of these guys who can clear off and win a moto by 10 seconds. The last moto was disappointing for the US but up to then it was quite solid.

The best should attend out of pride but it must be difficult right after a long grueling US season. These guys only have a short few weeks before the SX grind starts. I can't blame them for not wanting to go. Their job that pays is in the USA.

If my boss asked me to travel overseas for work without pay when I should be on a holiday....I'm gonna tell him to find someone else. That's the reality.

Following your logic,Roczen, the Lawrence brothers,Vialle……should be on the beach and drinking some cocktails!?Hopefully they showed up and gave this event the level it deserves. It‘s a shame that team USA once again was racing with a B team to fill the gate, shame on you.

As a proud American and an avid fan of all things moto, I can see EXACTLY why its practically impossible to get anyone interested in going and riding in this event any longer…

Every member of Team USA gave up what could have been a weekend off to go race in a foreign land, on a track they’ve never been to, against the BEST racers the entire rest of the world can send, ONLY to have all the spoiled/ungrateful fans that have never accomplished a damn thing on a dirt bike, talk shit on them for their efforts!!!
Aaron Plessinger BLEEDS red/white/blue and would have given ANYTHING to bring home a victory for our beloved US of A! This is a crushing dent to his very existence and rather than a heartfelt “THANK YOU” for his time & effort, he gets shit on by a bunch of key board warriors for his trouble… Aaron, RJ & Christian all saddle up, poured their heart and soul into the endeavor and deserve nothing put our respect and gratitude for their effort!

I’m sure that anyone with anything shitty to say about Team USA woulda done SO much better if only Roger woulda just called YOU for the job rather than his KTM/Husky boys…Oh what mighta been if only Team USA woulda been filled with three heroic Vitards.

Instead of talking shit, calling it an embarrassment or any other crap you have to offer after your “BUT” maybe think about what your Mother mighta said when she could still talk any sense to you or was trying to teach you some manners and remember “If you ain’t got nothing nice to say, shut-up and don’t say anything at all!”

Congrats to the victorious teams and Thank you AP, RJ & CC…we’ll get’em next year!

Aaron rode good in the first moto, but riding around in 17th looked rough
