Where is Cas Valk going? Is he gonna make the step into the GPs like most of the guys around him will do?

Him together with Rossi are mine standout riders in the EMX and both could be a front runner in the GPs in a short time like Coenen did, obviously with a good team/bike around him. Seems like Rossi got that deal sealed and a good move from KTM group to pick a rider like that.

Cas Valk will replace Marc-Antoine Rossi at VRT KTM. He'll be a heavy favorite for the EMX250 title with Pela Renet's coaching.

Damn, i really hoped he could land a ride in GP's. VRT is a solid structure to continue though

Joel Rizzi posted that he will ride the coup the avenir for Revo Kawasaki. So he a candidate for Revo in GPs?

It looks like Rizzi has been all over the place this years in terms of bikes. Yamaha, Gasgas, now Kawasaki. He posted something that the gasgas bike was on last legs. I think he has the talent to get top 10s, but he seems to have a lot of bad luck with teams.

Looks to me he only wants to go to GPs if he can get a very good setup/deal. Getting deals in MX2 like Tondel (3rd emx last year) or McLellan (4th last year) isnt going to help a lot imo. Then you are better of doing what Bonacorsi, Elzinga, Horgmo etc. did and stay in emx250 for another year.

VRT being KTM "factory junior" team is a direct pathway to a ride at KTM/HVA/GG in MX2, which is pretty much hitting the jackpot !

VRT will definitely be a good and solid structure for Valk and pathway to Factory MX2.

This even more shows how the EMX 250 vs GP 250 doesn’t work. Riders stay down in EMX to have a better shot at a GP ride. When they don’t change this structure how will they ever have more 250 riders at the gate in the GP?

There should be more teams en rides in MX2 instead off those rides in EMX.

There's rumours of a Factory TM in MX2 next year, hope it's true.

I agree.

What is the reason factories prefer a junior team in emx250 over a team in mx2? Would Bonacorsi been worse off had he raced mx2 with Hutten this year?

To have there product upfront and showing to the fans/costumers.

Brands always supported this class, even if you look back to JM racing days running the EMX 250 KTM team. But back then that class was really in and out to the GPs.

Bonacorsi is a perfect example, 3 years into that class hunting for that title/ride.He should have moved up after last year, but didn’t and hunted for Geerts/Elzinga his spot. In the end it was a succes for him and got everything done.

What if a guy like him got injured, another season in EMX? Those days it starts more to seem a planning class then a feeder class.

Bonacorsi's contract with Yamaha said that best Hutten rider last year get the MX2 ride at Kemea, and it was Elzinga. Simple as that.

Kemea Yamaha

Yamaha news is out with two strong teams, even with Seewer and Coldenhoff leaving!

Kemea MXGP: Maxime Renaux, Jago Geerts, Calvin Vlaanderen

Hutten MX2: Thibault Benistant , Rick Elzinga, Andrea Bonacorsi

Really curious to see how Vlaanderen will do, he deserves that ride more than anyone

So which team will be emx250 for Yamaha to replace Hutten? Assuming that MJC stays EMX125

MJC stays 100% the EMX125 team. JWR was the candidate to do the EMX250 team, but they don’t want anymore so Yamaha still tries to find a solution for the Reisulis bros and van Erp. They asked multiple teams but all declined for the budget offered.

VRT KTM will become VRT Yamaha, that's it. Done deal since MXoN i think.

That is a really good team, but I’m suprised they ditch KTM for Yamaha, must be a good deal then.

I am guessing they become the replacement for Hutten, getting yamahas emx250 budget.

Braceras out at F&H does & does not make sense. The results are not what FH is looking for, so i can see why you go in a different direction. But why pick him anyway if you only give him 1 year? He is very young and wasnt a top guy in emx yet, so expecting more then what he did seems a stretch.

As for TM: I dont have high hopes for TM unfortunately. It's the same team that had a very small and unimpressive emx250 campaign that ended early even though the rider Vettik was not injured.  And now they step up with Yago Martinez, a very hot&cold rider who had a hard time getting in the top 15 at his good days this season.

I get what you're saying about Braceras. However, I learned that a while ago they intended to keep him for next year, sounded like a done deal. Now they will have at least two new riders. What alternatives do they have? Prugnieres is one to be named.

Yes, TM doesn't have the best history past few years, but glad to see that they're still trying to get in the GP's. Yago Martinez didn't have the best material last year. I think some of you don't want to know how tight some of these smaller teams are on their budgets. In 2022 he had some really decent rides once he had the right KTM underneath him..

Noboby, because it's very fresh. Impulsive move from the owner, from what i gathered.

I was surprised he landed the ride , not surprised he got the flick, the team  have gone downhill every year for the last 3 at least.

I thought they where a good match together, anyone knows more about this?

Listening to the vital MXGP podcast, Lewis drops his cryptic messages and what I decipher is Strijbos to Wilvo/Fantic to be more involved and doing some test riding.
