The Alessis always had each other's back, through thick and thin. It is impossible not to admire their bond, despite all the crazy antics along the way. Heartbreaking.
RIP to 801. Gone way too soon, but won't be forgotten.
Ride in peace Jeff. 😔
Always enjoyed and respected him taking the time to post on Vital. Much too young to be gone. Fine young man.
Rest easy Jeff.

Years ago Honda set up an air conditioned tent at LL. They had a tv playing the great outdoors. I went in to cool off and here comes mike and Jeff. I sat and bench raced with both of them and they really seemed down to earth and respectful. I know Jeff made some mistakes in his life and so have I. Sad news to hear about this. Condolences to the whole Alessi family. 🙏
Jeff was a good dude. 2016 I think it was Anaheim 2. He was pitting behind the MCR rig when my grandson wandered over and Jeff spent probable 10 minutes with him, put him on his bike and let him rev it. A few stickers, and he had made a fan for life. My grandson always looked for 801 any time there was a race going. RIP Jeff.
Such sad news. I dont know any of the Alessi family personally but I have met both boys and Tony at the races many times over the years. All 3 of them treated me like I was their friend even though we had just met. The boys were always so respectful and talkative. This family is pure moto and it’s so sad to lose one of them. Prayers to all of the Alessi family/friends. RIP Jeff…you were a good guy and a fantastic rider
RIP and condolences to the family, Cant remember why but back in the early days of this site, or maybe the one before this, he sent me an autographed t-shirt. Can’t imagine it was easy to grow up in the shadow of big bro, hope he found peace
I grew up racing in what I will always think of as the peak of amateur racing. Late 90’s early 00’s. Never met them personally but have had the privilege of racing the same amateur nationals for a lot of years. Theres no doubt that a lot of young racers at the time looked up to the Alessi family just like I did. Sincere condolences to all friends and family. Thank you for the memories. RIP 801
As others have said it was Unadilla but it ended in spectacular crash but he wrestled it back from a massive crash to just a big crash haha which was right in front of a photographer..
RIP Jeff! My thoughts are with his family and friends
Crazy, I was just about to make a post about his ankle from the swap video I saw earlier then I saw this.
RIP Jeff, I always admired his “f you I’m pinning it” attitude that he had with everything he did.
They just need prayer - Tony Mike and family.
Honestly, I thought this thread was going to turn into "shit show." Great to see I was pretty much wrong. Rest easy, Jeff...we have the watch.
I think everyone is pretty heartbroken.
Just sad.
You should quit while you're behind.
RIP Jeff. Prayers and condolences for his family.
My condolences to the Alessis. First time I saw them they were on 80s at a night race in Hanford, CA, around 2002 (if I remember right). They were both flying and there was another kid there hanging with MA on a Suzuki (I think it may have been Davi Milsaps?). Their dad was racing too and he rode a KX250 and he even jumped the "triple." Seeing their Dad do it made me almost get brave enough to try but thankfully, common sense got the better of me that night. haha.
Even better, I got to meet Jeff when he agreed to come give a riding class to the OTHG at Tulare Cycle Park around 2013. It was one of the coolest things I ever got to experience as a wannabe racer. Hearing him describe how to rail a corner and then demonstrating it to us was really informative and humbling. haha. He also gave us a class on starts and then ripped off picture perfect start after start with that KX450 he borrowed just humming perfectly. SO RAD. Then, he showed us how to turn two table tops into one HUGE double that I have a few grainy photos of somewhere. I learned so much from him it was an awesome experience. However, my fat ass didn't quite agree with his recommendation to avoid things like caffeine and alcohol, which are two of my main sponsors and played a huge role in me winning the OTHG national state county city extra beginner championship (jk, I never won anything). RIP Jeff Alessi. Very sad to hear this terrible news.
Whenever I hear Jeff's name, I always think of a video from about 2013 or so of a race he did in Jamaica (I think) on a really janky, super narrow track with spectators standing on the track, and Jeff was still hauling balls. Ride in Peace, Jeff.

I saw Jeff and Mike in 2004 in Glen Helen on a race my dad took me. I was in awe, and 13 at the time. I knew at that moment I was never going to be professional. RIP!
I heart goes out to the entire Alessi family and friends. I always liked when he chimed in here. RIP.
Condolences to the Allessi’s as a a father my heart breaks.
I just got done watching a bunch of kids posting videos of their coach and, messages from Jeff to these kids on Tik Tok. He had a huge impact in a positive way on them.
My condolences to the family and, friends of Jeff.
RIP
Condoleances from France too. He had many fans there as well. Here is a pic from Bercy 2004 (credit to MX2K). You can't do better than racing Bercy from 14 !
My thoughts and condolences go out to the Alessi family and friends. RIP
Rip Jeff
Just terrible news, no family should have to endure this pain.
Our thoughts are with the Alessi family.
Godspeed Jeff
