Wow I thought clutches stopped fading after 4 strokes...Seemed more like a 2stroke issue IMO-

Revolutionary I say!! Bravo Team Honda for pushing the envelope...

What's next? 23" or 20" front wheels?? Maybe even RFVC? The sky's the limit in Hammamatsu....

Now all they need is some Claw Action tires and they will dominate SX and MX

I'd like to see knees wearing the paint off of a metal gas tank.

revolutionary? my old KTM 525 had one, so did my sons 85.

I dont like them.... doesnt have the same direct feel as the cable clutch.

Thanks for the pics... I wouldn't have expected that from Honda.

Yeah, and I hate not having to turn the adjuster all the time....

I thought if they are not available to the public you cannot race them? What exactly is the no factory rule?

That is exactly part of the "feel" and why you adjust a cable clutch...to fine tune the feel the way you like it. you dont have that option on the hydrolic clutch.
The hydrolic clutch feels rubbery, and lacks the feel of the contact point through the lever.

You mean the one(s) that you've tried feel that way. The guys seemed pretty happy with what they were using.

Thanks for posting pics Guy-b.

Comparing Factory Honda's to a KTM would be like comparing Egg's to rotten eggs

I bought a magura (sp?) a few years ago and loved it!

I really liked not having to clean cables to get that new feel again. That would be great if they came stock.

There are several aftermarket hydraulic clutch systems that have been available for years. There's nothing against the rules with running them.

i am sure the easier pull will work fine. however i like the cable to feel that "actuation" point. of course with a rekluse pro it's a 500 with a one finger clutch! LOL.

guyb, you must really inspect this stuff close to catch that......... guess it's a trained eye thing?

are you guys even looking at the picture? That honda unit looks much better quality and maintenance wise than those crappy magura units. Looks like nissin is making the kit for them. If they solved some of the downsides with a hydraulic, this will be the unit to have if it ever makes it to the public

rubbery feel? Do you run a cable on your brakes as well? Why not?

Wow 23" front wheel and paint wearing off the steel gas tank! That brings back memories. As far as Hydraulic clutches, some street bikes have them and there seems to be some complaints about engagement feel but I'm sure it can be worked out. My ZX12R has a cable clutch at it is pretty easy but I guess easier is better. Anyone remember the "Easy Clutch"? I think it was made by White Bros. It not only made the pull easier but lengthened the engagement a bit which would be good or bad depending on one dislike of the former.
Remember when the Busa and ZX12R came out? During some top speed runs there was so much wind resistance on the front break lever it made the brake light come on.
