No bullshit, says exactly what he changed on his bike, gives great detailed answers, and he's entertaining to poke fun at. We need more Phils in this sport.

If there's ever a riders union he has to be president
All time favorite! I’d like to see him as a team manager later down the road.
A breath of fresh air. Talented but doesn’t take himself too seriously, and willing to say what’s on his mind. Surprised he hasn’t been able to talk Enzo into racing outdoors…
New Jersey loves Phil!
I thought Enzo was able to make more money racing in Brazil then racing outdoor nationals? Or I could be wrong?
He most likely “currently” makes more money racing in Brazil over the nationals but if he proves himself and was open to racing SX and MX and gets on a team like PC I would think that would be worth more, but could be wrong
Never heard a rider cite a specific spring rate before. Great stuff.
Absolutely No Bullshit.
Philthy RULEZ
When my kid went down at club years ago, Phil was the first person to him. Tossed his bike in the grind and ran over to make sure he was okay. Got him up and on the bike as i was getting to him. Fan ever since. My kid had no idea who it was when I asked him if he knew a pro just picked him up lol.
Filthy is rough around the edges but straight up honest. Nothing wrong with a straight shooter. He’s one of the good guys.
Real moto fans across the world were all on there feet when Phil was leading. Just like when he did at Anaheim.
69'd the whole field early in moto 2. Legend.
I wish Phil was my stepdad
Phil is always a comical interview but Mike I feel like you lowered yourself speaking to him how he speaks with curse words as I’ve always saw your work more professional. Maybe I’m getting old and soft though.
edit* where has dark side been? I know some people were talking bad about him but he still is somewhat new and learning.
Pit Row
To my friends, I cuss like a sailor. I swear so much in person.
I don’t think I’ve ever dropped a swear on pulp, I’m usually really on top of it when I speak for work. Interviewing Phil is hard, it’s more like a conversation with a buddy so I let a little slip. It happens, I had to apologize in our YouTube comments to someone who was upset about it as well. Sorry to disappoint.
Dark was in the Carolinas all week. He was at Zmax, you might have heard an interview with him if he had gotten more than just the one with Vialle (just poking fun). He did a training festure at Club, and all the MotoXPod stuff from last week was from there. He posts three or four pieces of content every week on the homepage.
Eh doesn’t offend me at all I’m just looking at the big picture with how soft most people are. I wish more riders and media people were able to talk and do interviews as if there was no judgement. I did laugh when you told AP he’s pretty much the B team and I’m guessing that lit a little fire under his ass also. Don’t worry you’ll hear people bitch if you’re too PC or people bitch if you are too human.
ML I’m bad at looking at the home page. But did you end up getting an interview from Webb after that 😂. I’m sure he didn’t want to hear those questions but it’d be nice to know how he’s feeling on the Yamaha after the second race.
Good 'cking interview.
I don't know Phil but I like Phil...
Bowl of fresh air compare to the never ending "my Dunlops hooked up great off the gate"...
He’s always had a lot of talent and has been outspoken. He’s also had a lot of bike issues in the am ranks from what I remember and lots of haters said he only did well because he had cheater bikes. But here he is now talent is still there and isn’t even on a factory bike. I’m a fan even being the same age…. Guy loves the grind and has a one of a kind personality.
There can be only one!
(great movie is anyone gets the reference)
Highlander
It fits the man.
Love Phil's personality, I always get hyped up seeing him do good.
Listened to his pulp mx interview with the Lawrence brothers and his columns on racerX are gold. He is a racer and says what he thinks. Lovely guy
My first exposure to Phil was the ‘Alessi incident’ where Mike popped out of his line at a race in Canada and Phil lost his mind because he got the raw end of a racing incident. I have to admit, I didn’t really care for the guy, but the more I hear from him now, the more I like him.
I’ve liked Philthy since he came to Oz to race, but in true Phil style, he ended up in a visa debacle and got kicked out 😂
Always thought he deserved more in that 14-17 period when as a fill-in rider he was a solid top 10 Outdoors amongst a stacked field, sometimes top 5, and always hell fast at Unadilla.
Was even on the podium one year with Marv and Eli. That’s saying something!
