Thanks Rob. There is a whole new world of builds to do once carb-era 4 strokes become a thing. I have no doubt in the next few years they will become part of the evo racing scene. I loved the 06-07-08 era Kawi 250fs that I raced. Not sure i'd want to race these really early 4 strokes though, with the starting-when-hot issues!

Yeah i bet, that Fonseca bike you had was a beaut. Did you sell it to a guy in america?

Yeah i did sell it to him. I have some good stuff though for the steel frame pc bikes when the time comes, kickstarter, mag inner clutch case engine covers and such…

Nice! A friend of mine has a set of 04-05 KXF PC A Kit forks/shock/clamps with around 10 hours on. I'd love to build an 04 bike with them...

That’s coming up so nice👌🏼. You didn’t end up running the brembo factory front caliper?

Thanks! Unfortunately not, the factory yamaha bracket i got was 77mm bolt spacing and it needs 102mm spacing to fit OEM forks. I've done a fair amount of searching but no luck yet.

Absolutely stunning build. I love seeing (and working on) these older 4-strokes. Brings back so much nostalgia. Not to mention Everts' Acerbis gear. God I wanted those so bad back in the day.

That donor bike was almost too nice to rip apart. Beautiful both before and after.

Thank you! Yeh it was a good bike to start with but wasn’t nice enough to leave stock to look at…

I'm stunned. That looks amazing. Please report back how she rides. At least I'm hoping it will see some riding time.

Hey Chuck great build,I am doing similar on a 2000 YZF426.

What company did you use for the graphics.

I have a technosel seat and tank shrouds kit for my bike but need the rest of the graphics.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I used Unbounded Designs for the missing trim kit graphics, but original seat cover and rad shrouds etc like you have.

Did you grind or polish the triple clamp to get that finish, or what is the work behind the result?

They're billet triple clamps
