You’re seeing comments on what he said on both the podium and press conference interviews. He said on the podium it was actually a “big brain” move to purposely let Roczen by because he thought it would put a larger points gap between him and Chase. Then he realized afterwards and mentioned in the press conference that it actually didn’t end up making a difference. It was just kind of awkward all around. Grinning

Here’s the podium interview. I forgot people started chanting “Kenny” after Jett said he let him win. 💀

I’m sure Honda was super pumped about giving Kenny that win…

So.. I was always a super big Kenny fan. But the last years on Honda were tough to watch. He was often super negative, tried to find excuses for finishes, he didn't seem to really enjoy anything anymore. He seems like a different person again now, not a single bad word about the bike that whole year, he seems positive again and obviously really finds his speed again. I guess most people see that aswell and truly enjoy watching him battle for wins again.

Kenny is better when he is the under dog . Some people just have that mentality .

The whole "big brain" comment seems to be sorta lost in translation with a few people on this board who are older and aren't as familiar with younger/internet culture. The term is ironic.

As for the whole letting Ken by thing, pretty lame comment but not as brash as it has been portrayed. I'm still yet to watch the press conference though

Didn’t he last week make an excuse about a sweat problem with his googles

If you watch the race you will see him slowing and messing with his goggles, it was obvious he had a problem.

It must hurt getting beat straight up speedwise for the first time this year. Better make it look like its all planned. Oh so smart 🤔

Also, they had such a big lead over sexton . It wasnt like jett was going slow. In fact, he never had a lead that big over sexton this year (when CS was directly behind him). He got caught and embarrased himself with that move.

Focus.  Chase, Eli, Jett, Deegan all have phenomenal skills but Jett has so far proven that he can focus those skills more than the others.

I think we saw Jett lose focus.  I doubt it happens often...which is his gift.  Johnny will make sure he remembers that.

I believe Jett thought him giving the win to Roczen would give Roczen 2nd over Sexton. Honda told him after the race that it did not make a difference.

Jett literally pulled over and waved Kenny by, his lap times were faster than Kenny`s. How is that getting beat, "straight up"?

I can’t help but cheer for Kenny. I was never a fan, similar to chad reed, but the older he gets and his maturity/family man status it’s cool to see the crowd cheer for him. I always rooted against chad when he was young and brash but found myself cheering for both the older they get.

everyone has their opinion on the pass, but if I were Kenny it would light a fire under me and wouldn’t sit well. I know Jett wasn’t being malicious or intentionally disrespectful but it can’t sit well with someone with Kenny’s pride. I hope he comes out swinging next week

Kenny and Chase...possibly Eli after he returns are fully capable of winning races...IF they can find Jetts weakness.

So far...he hasn't really shown that he has one...at least in his riding.  If one exists...it's gonna be between his ears.  This much success at such an early age has brought down others before him.

Let's see if he can maintain FOCUS.  I'm telling ya fellas...the difference at the top isn't skill...they all have it in spades.  It's the ability to maintain til the checkers drop.

If it’s really Kenny’s pride at the core of this issue then maybe the problem is with Kenny.

Good point, maybe I could have used “competitive nature” instead of pride. Either way, put yourself in his shoes… if someone pulled over for you it wouldn’t fire you up?

After all the times Ken just let cooper webb and other riders by in the late stages of the motos, maybe he should look in to him self..

I was always a Ken fan from his 85cc days, but in the later years it has been tough to stand behind him and his mouth.

I didn't "see" any attitude from Kenny after the race.  Looked like their interaction was amenable.

Unless we read this week where Kenny says, "fuck that prick" or Jett says,"I gave it to him cause he's gonna kill his old ass trying to run my pace"...I'll carry on believing they are ok with each other.

Cooper passing Kenny late in races wasn’t the same lol. Kenny never waved him on by

But he did not fight for it plenty of times he just took the high line in the berm, let coop pass and that was it.

But it won’t matter in the future, Ken will never be a title contender again for a full season with his arms after 2017. He can get lucky a couple of races like last night but just look at last weekend when he was caught and passed late in the moto.

During this winter he will be a top 5 guy when the season ends.

Haha I can’t argue that.. touché sir

But I still disagree with going high on a berm being the same as waving someone by 🫡

A lot of people passed Kenny.  But now it's late 2023....they ain't passing him now.  He either found something or got rid of something.  Webb is struggling.  He can either do whatever Kenny did or fade to black.  I hope he gets his mojo back.
