Not sure how to read your post: Are you saying Rizzi to Riley or do you mean it as 2 seperate things (Rizzi signing a deal in the UK & independent from that Riley is working on a comeback)?

I don't know what Frederiksen is going to do, he is back riding and did an onk last weekend. Kind of surprised to see him on a Yamaha, i imagine that has to be either via Riley or a remainder of the deal he had with Riley (maybe yam scandinavia was involved?). Because there are no privateers in gp's/emx who pick a Yamaha as their bike.

Ofcourse there are. Jørgensen, Alberto, Outeiro, Conijn, Mandys, Smith,.. all raced a private Yamaha this season.

The 250 i mean. Most you mention are 450 riders and Smith is supported by Yamaha Scandinavia. Only one i don't know why he rides Yamaha is Mandys

Even in the national championships you will have a hard time finding a yamaha 250F in the top 10.

Marc Antoine Rossi will ride MX2 World Championship for team De Carli Gas Gas in 2024.

It eventually means that Guadagnini could switch to team Nestaan Husqvarna (MXGP category) next year...

Yes, exactly. 2 riders who are under contract by Yamaha Europe. Not a private entry.

He might be coming to Canada.

I would bet that he'll be on a German KTM team doing the ADAC and some/all GPs.

@LewisPhillips ? on Mitch Evans injury status. He has been riding the past two seasons with several issues ?

Yeah, the wrist that he broke as a HRC rider in 2020 was very serious. There were many complications and still are.

Any recent news on  Mitchell Evans this month?

He missed the boat a bit in MX2, was team mates with Langenfelder, but injury, and losing his ride when a team folded have cost him bad.

He had a few good GP's , led a while in Turkey but there are too many younger guys taking seats now.

He races here in the UK, but the level isnt great here in MX2 really.

Why not, he's still pretty young and has the skills. Together with Jarne Bervoets and probably a third rider it could make a strong line-up for now and maybe more important for the future.

It says a lot about the depth in MX2 in terms of financial strength of the teams that a guy who finishes 7th & 8th both in the sand of Lommel & Kegums as on the hard terrain in Germany & Sweden cannot get a good ride.

And unless Hutten/Yamaha, Bud, Fantic, BT, VRT, etc step up with their EMX250 programms i don't see a way how this level will improve in the next couple of years.

Well... actually Mikula won Moto1 of czech nationals in Stříbro but got shitty start and washed front in corner mid moto2 but still finished 4th. P.S. Marek won the round with 2-2 on 250 2smoke KTM. But the track was a bit single line-ish.

There is video from that round (starts at 3:55)

If Mikula is still under contract with Yamaha even for 2024 that would be lovely jubbly... Looking at you Hutten Metaal racing team. Laughing

For me he was the biggest surprize this year after coming from EMX125 to EMX250.

I heard Prado is coming to the US for '24 Supercross/ Motocross after his MXGP championship. Any traction on that yet? He said he wants to race supercross.

Rizzi apparently signed a deal with a British team and I hear strong rumours Riley Racing works on a comeback. Anyone have an idea if we will see Frederiksen back? He lined up in a local race in The Netherlands last weekend.

As of right now, Fredriksen has nothing. He has his Yamahas from the Riley team this year, but is searching for a ride in 24. I’ve heard Riley is trying to come back, but I can’t see anyone wanting to ride there after this year.

No, he has a one-year extension to stay with DeCarli in GPs.

"Prado: At the moment my goal is to stay in MXGP. I have been working hard all of these years to get this title. I also said with my team one of my goals is to ride with the number one. And to ride with the number one I need to stay in MXGP. So, it is something that for the next year or so my goal is to ride MXGP. I still see in myself a big marking to improve. And that is something very positive because I can be already World Champion and I feel I can improve in many ways, speed wise. I am only 22 so imagine in a few years. I am just super motivated to keep on working and put myself every year at a higher level. Yeah, America can be an option too but for that I need to try again and see if I like it, or if I like it enough to go 100%. So, I think before I make a decision I need to go and give it a try, and then I can have a clear vision of what I want to do. But at the moment MXGP is my priority."

I think that he is going to américa after the season ends and try again some supercross to choose USA or MXGP.

Knowing that KTM group anounces his Riders fast and his deal isnt anounces yet... but thats only my opinion

The problem is that MXGP Champions can't drop to the SX lites/250cc class. And learning SX on a 450cc bike seems even for guys like Prado and Gajser hard.

Kemea Yamaha? Never heard of that team.

How would you compare their bikes to the Gebben bikes? Is this a improvement or a step backwards for Calvin?

Kemea run the MX2 team at the moment, and a few comments in here point to them taking over the MXGP set up next year. So full factory bikes.
