The BUD silencer is a pile of junk. The mounting band setup is a joke. Super loose connections. Silencer wiggles all over the place. Where it mounts to the subframe the rubber grommet is super soft so there is even more wiggle until that blows out and the ole silencer is just dangling around back there. Dont buy the bud silencer, unless you like to tinker around and have grommets and spacers on on hand to try and jimmy the thing to work. It is unfortunately not just a bolt on as the results from just bolting it on are really, less than stellar.

Is bill's no longer distributed through Tucker? I know they sold them a few years ago. Maybe a dealer has access to pipes?
Update:
Recieved a call from Brandon this morning. He was friendly and apologetic. Took my order, had the pipe, but they will have to make the silencer. I’ll update when I get the goods.

The HGS Silencers look better made and would still be made to work with the Bud pipes. They have an all aluminum version and one with a Carbon end cap. They are more expensive than the BUD racing versions. But look like they should be solid.
A customer was complaining about how their Bud Carbon silencer sounded, it sounded like it needed to be repacked even though it was brand new. They ended up opening it up and it was empty. After packing it, they did not have any issues. But they also did not put many hours on it either, he said similar things about needing to modify some stuff to get it to fit the way he wanted it too. He put it on a YZ250 . I've sold some to riders with older 90's 2 strokes , CR,RM and KX's and those customers were happy. That's one great thing about the BUD racing/HGS pipes. BUD USA have them in stock for a wide range of years and models.
I did notice that the last one I sold , the mount looked different from the earlier ones. The grommet area had some plastic . I thought it looked like it would not work as well. But maybe I was wrong ,after hearing what You said about the grommet being too soft. I do not remember exactly what was different, just that there was plastic on it and I thought it looked cheaper and was worried the customer would be disappointed.
My BUDs pipe and silencer have been bullet proof and the bike really runs well with them. No fitment issues and high quality.
I should also add that Bud racing USa has always been quick to respond to any of my emails and shipping orders. The only time I have ever had any type of issue with them was during Covid with shipping delays. But everybody was backed up. Their Triple clamps are great. And I've never had any issues with anything else other than that one silencer not being packed when it came. The customer that had the issues is super into details and all of his bikes look like they could be in a museum. Kinda like that YZ above.
I've sold a couple of the 4 stroke full systems and those were awesome and at a better price than a similar FMF or PC at the time anyway.
They have not been distro'd through Tucker for at least 3 years.
You could hire a kid for about 400 a week part-time for customer service. Just my opinion.
Received the pipe silencer today. Just installed it and it fit right up as good as any aftermarket exhaust I’ve used. No issue. Welds look very good. Looks cool. I’m sure my kid won’t notice any riding difference’s, but I just try and make his bike look trick. Ever since he’s riding and racing, my stuff gets ignored and his gets all the attention. Silencer is just about the same length as stock, a little narrower width, and tip is about .5mm smaller than stock. Pipe seems to have a bigger expansion chamber that sticks out a little farther. My kid got a foot peg through his leg last week, so no riding till the stitches come out.
Customer service is easier than ever nowadays. I’m not a huge social media fan but it sure has broken down the walls of communication and the relationship from business to customer is pretty incredible. Besides some medical/family emergency or holidays, companies should easily be able to respond customers within a 24 hour period. If you’re that busy at your business that you cannot respond that quickly, setup an automatic response on your emails/socials explaining the situation.
He sold me my pipe wasn’t very helpful
You don't need any kind of social media to communicate with customers
Writing a text or email, making a phone call, is just as fast & easy as posting a message to social media.
And we all managed to do this before facebook was invented.
I fully understand a small business not answering enquiries instantly, but they should be able to reply within 24 hours Monday-friday, even if it's only to say "sorry, can't help with your enquiry".
I know several small business people who have abandoned Facebook/Instagram pages etc. , because the pages just filled with the dumb comments social media always attracts.
I wasn’t saying they need it, I was saying there isn’t an excuse to not reply to customers.
