The Supertech pants had the stretchy material in the  ass area that made it not last as well as it could. Did they change the pant at all? The Thor Prime has a heavy nylon in that area that seems like its the way to go .  A customer of mine that is super loyal to Astars was pointing that out when I was lettering a jersey for him. He was saying that area was the first to go in his pants. He runs a factory edition seat on his bikes though , and those are rough on stuff.

I think that Alpinestars gear is the best looking of the 24 stuff I've seen so far. A good variety and clean looking overall. II have not checked out the stuff that Fox just released yet. The past couple years some Fox stuff has started to look like knock off fox stuff to me. Some of the kits still look cool and have that Fox feel to them.Alpinestars gear has become the gear brand I would say has the best overall line.

I don’t have any ‘23 Supertech pants to compare to but the ‘24 pants still have stretch material in the seat. It does look thin.

The new thor gear came out yesterday and as a lifelong thor guy I will say It was a bit underwhelming. Are they even releasing new pulse stuff? It's all the same as last year on the website

The Prime Analog and Sector Checker gear is a sweet design, but shit color options

Sometimes the colors do not show well in the photos.  The Sector stuff that has a greenish tint to it is most likely flo yellow  and not greenish like the photos.  I like the look Prime analog the best. That blue set is clean.  The T-shirts are better quality than in the past too. I had some 22 t shirts and the 23 shirts that are a carryover are the same price, but much better quality than the 22.

I figured that it was excess inventory that kept the Pulse line current. Seeing stock levels . I was just hopeful that  I was wrong.

I just meant the actual selection - very bland

Red/Yellow, Black/White, Grey Orange, and Red/White. Very played out, try something new.

I think gear has headed a different direction, and I dont really like it.

In the early 2000s (best era for gear - not debatable) most companies offered 2-3 lines with 10-15 color schemes so you could find the combo that was perfect for you.

Now it seems like most offer 5-7 lines, with 3 or 4 color colorways, which I think makes it harder to find the design you like, and color combo

I agree on that.  I hope that more brands move towards the way that SHOT has gone with their custom jersey making.  If they did it with the pants too it would be super cool!   Still come out with the standard base colors to sell at the dealers. But also offer full custom colors in those same base designs. Shot lets you add logos to be sublimated  and Your name and number are also sublimated . I could see issues with allowing the logos to be added , but even if they just did the colors and name/number. That way they still have control over the branding and designs. It could also help them see real world trends in color selection. And not have to make as much of a geuss. It would add to the cost  and or time frame on getting gear.

Another thing about the gear from that era, it was made to last longer. I think it was the height of durability as a whole. These days durability  seems to  not  be as high of a priority .

If You wear the Prime gear, I saw part numbers that have been removed for at least 1 more colorway. Not sure if it was delayed or somebody jumped the gun listing it.  The colors do all seem to be way on the conservative side compared to just about every other gear line for 2024 that I've seen so far.

The 90's had a lot of really awful looking patterns, but there were a wide range of colors to pick from. I've looked at buying a new kit but everything looks basically like it came off the same printing press. Black with hints of red, orange, yellow and blue.

Fox has a couple of interesting options but, most gear has been pretty limited with color/design for a few years now. '24 isn't anything new.

Its a euro only program right now. Not sure if they will ship to the US. I was talking with them about selling Shot  again. I was selling it when MTA had it.  They have a more limited line in the US. They did say they are working on bringing the custom jersey's to the US program in the future. They have it setup over there so dealers can sell the custom jersey. The customer gets a code and dealer gets a part of the sale. So dealers can still be involved.

Shot lets you import your own logos, pick pretty much any colors name and number. They also have a couple style fit options. The stretchy or baggy style. They may have more options since my last visit to the site.

How cool would it be if that was an option for pants too!? and with every brand. Even if they only had a single line. Have it be the brands premium line . Its fun to play with.

With Tucker being bought recently by turn14 . They may not come out with it in the normal timeframe.  I noticed all of their catalogs disappeared from their website. I'm not a Tucker dealer so not sure how its changed at that level. They must have had a 24 line in the works already. Designed at the minimum, so I'm sure they will have it come out at some point.  Maybe a Tucker Dealer can respond and provide some insight.

I still have not seen anything. But I am not a Tucker dealer right now so I do not know what a dealer might know.  The dealers might have to wait to say what they know until a certain date though. I would think that they could at least say that there is some 24 gear coming out and maybe give a rough idea of the month. But whenever I have gotten early access to new product drops, I have had to sign an NDA saying I will not do certain things with the info they provide me, etc.etc.  And every brand is a little different with how they do it. They want to make sure that when people first see the new item, it is shown in the best way possible. Or goes along with their marketing plan in some way.  And time it so when the public sees it, they can buy it pretty soon after.

With the Tucker having a new Owner , it might delay some stuff like that. The 2024 stuff should already be all designed and made , and on a boat on its way here if Answer was still running normally. I would expect bigger changes for 2025 or 26. With the new owners having more influence over the designs.

The designing is normally a year or 2 ahead of when it gets released. So 2025 stuff is probably close to being finalized and they are starting on 26 gear designs now.  A lot of the "new" products that have come out recently were meant to come out in 2019 or 20. But Covid  caused issues.

Thor completely fumbled the bag for 24. Totally just went the Suzuki route scratching out the 23 on the tag and writing 24

I just wrote an email to Turn14 to see what they say. I have been considering becoming a dealer for them at some point so I figured I might as well contact them and see what their plans are powersports wise.  I'll come back and post what they tell me. I'm surprised that there have not been any Tucker Dealers that saw and posted about Answer on  here. Might not be a great sign.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 24.5 release in the spring with some more options. And new Pulse colorways.  I can understand why they may have done it. I sold a bunch of 23 Prime and Sector gear. But not as much Pulse stuff as the year before. If other dealers had similar experiences then Thor might have had a bit more Pulse gear than they would have liked to have leftover. Designwise , I was not in love with as much of the gear this year as some past lines.

I've never really been a fan of O'Neal stuff but I bought my first set of their "hardware" line this year and was super impressed. Not made of the super thin material being used by most and it had some good rubber areas to direct air flow in the legs.  I also REALLY liked the WIDE belt used that goes all the way around the waist and can be cinched down nicely to keep the pants up and comfortable.  I've mainly worn Thor and Alpinestar stuff and still like it but this O'Neal set has been a step above in design and durability.  Oh, regarding Alpinestar...won't buy another set until they get away from the big "Alpinestar" banner that's stretched across the azz area...I don't like that look.

These are the O'Neal pants I'm referring to...also like this color and the matching Jersey is very nice too!

I just heard back from Turn14  new dealer development( the new owners of Answer). They said that there will be a 2024 line. There exact words on a timeframe for 2024 gear was "At this time, there is no official press released information to share with our consumers on products coming out in 2024.  Though I can assure you that it is being worked on within these transition phases. "

So there will be 2024 Answer gear. Just might not be available for a while or who knows, they could put out a press release next week.

They took Tucker over in August , so I imagine that they must have been working on the deal for a while.I had heard from multiple reps for other distributors that their company( the distributor the rep worked for Parts Unlimited,WPS, etc.) were in talks to purchase Protaper as far back as this time last year.  Who knows, that may have delayed the normal work that gets done as far as getting gear designed and ordered. Who knows how the negotiations started out.Or what Tuckers plans were for Answer before the Sale to Turn14. It is good news to hear that they are working on the 2024 lines for all of the brands that were owned by Tucker though.

If I happen to come across any info that I can post about Answer , I will come back and post. But most likely ,Answer will put out ads and info before , or at the sametime I have any info I can share.

I can tell you for a fact the new 2024 gear is alright. Some new flashy colors but nothing to crazy. A few new fabric options which some were really nice feeling. I was at Cahilla MX around the time Outdoors started for their photo shoot. Emery took the photos, a few of us BarX Suzuki members and 2 riders went. Also had the whole Wey family with Nick, Vincent and Donovan.

thank you for the update man! I have been with answer for 5 years or so but unfortunately looks like i'm going to go with one of my other offers as i can't wait that long for a contract on a chance it won't come.

That's where I'm at, can't wait much longer. Saw their Instagram account was active a day or two ago for old gear but the profile still links to a dead website. Wish they would shed some transparency for those that are willing to give them money still.
