Deegan reportedly said he’ll only go if it’s ‘a winning team’. Quite clearly Haiden, it has more chance of being ‘a winning team’ if you’re on it, and it’s pretty lame that after claiming you’re doing for The USA all summer, you’re actually not doing it at all when doing it for the USA actually matters. In turn 3 or 4 other potential Team USA candidates are also made unavailable because Star are having to cover Deegan’s ass. 
 

The whole end of the MXGP season and MXdN were rescheduled for no other reason than to accommodate the US schedule and now they can’t even pull 3 riders together with all the resources they have. What an unbelievably poor show

Like specially last year and now when Ken talked about all this freedom and how fun it is to travel the world and race different places. Why not MXON? Yeah because it doesn't pay 250k per race probably. I really do hope the only reason they delay the announcement is because they waited for Kenny at this point and that he might agree to race it. With Nagl, him and Längenfelder we could have a potential podium team.

Yeah, I'm Nagl over Koch as well, but hey, that's still a great team.  Simon can win MX2 and Kenny will ride his ass off.

In 2021 Star said publicly they would not support their riders at MXdN well before the decision was made by team USA not to send a team. Ferrandis was on the best form of his career but couldn't race for France.

Japan will not be sending a team this year.

Because the date for the MXoN was moved up, it now conflicts with Round 7 of the All Japan Motocross Championship.  

The MXoN date was moved up in February. I don't understand why they would not try and reschedule the All Japan Motocross Championship round. It seems like that would be fairly simple to do.
