Only Kawasaki and Yamaha have the 2 riders who can safely win the 201 title. Honda and Suzuki have the weapons to be on the ambush and take it if the opportunity arises. RD, DM and Shorty all know how to win and can.

I'm sure they are making plenty of money without paying a rider 3 million dollars a year. So who knows.....maybe they are saving up to make a run at Villopoto.

They got rid of MC and RC while they were on top of the world. Seems to me they really don't care about winning championships.

MX/SX titles do not equal bike sales.

They have a great bike but that bike needs a rider. The best bike on the track is whatever James Stewart is riding.

Rossi too (i know its not mx but same company) Maybe they dont want the rider to be knocked off the top on thier bikes.

wonder why is everybody always leaving trey canard out of the title chase....??????
wasn't he the only one to win over RV....????
wasn't he at PC and RD pace in the last outdoors....?????
i think he is one of the best american riders to came, and is a great exemple and role model.....still no one gives him the credit he really deserves....wonder why...?????
i think he is the only one that can put a fight on pourcel in 2010, but all i see is the hype on barcia, stroupe and others that never won a thing and are far from canards experience.......

I'll go with Canard on that one. He is a very good rider and his Lites East coast

championship is not a fluke, he's a top 5 runner no matter what. Hell, maybe they'll pull

Barcia up to factory one day too for outdoors. I like Short and Millsaps, but mediocre results

lately have not helped, and yea Davi won a title on the lites and podiumed a few 450 mains,

but Tedesco seemed the better rider, their loss

I beleve Canard will win more than a handfull of races this year, if he stays healthy and injurey free he is bound to win a championship in either sx or mx, he has the speed he's proved that, he just needs to become more consistant.

Honda made a stand several years ago that racers are not worth the amount of money they were demanding, and the market proved them right. Honda drew a line in the sand and said "we will not pay any more than this" and left it at that, and now rather than Honda raise salaries to meet the market, the market is coming back to meet Honda.

Honda has serious talent in development and as they mature, then Honda will be back on top.

Like a basketball or football team in a rebuilding period, Honda is doing the same.

I say they have a great shot at a 250f class championship with Canard. Maybe 2 if Barcia is on the other coast.

Money attracts or steals talent so hopefully they move that line at some point. Also for what it's worth I think the market is slow to react. I stopped racing to go to college just as Jeremy was moving up...when I came back into racing every other bike was Yamaha...which was crazy because when I left Honda's were everywhere. Maybe there’s a correlation don't know I'd like to see the numbers on Championships vs. sales there’s a reason these guys are making a living riding a dirt bike-

This makes entirely too much sense.

Good for Honda to put their foot down on salaries like that seems they were thinking into the future not in the moment a very wise move.

Remember Pichon, Tortelli, Windham, and Ezra? That was a hell of a year to win a championship and still got snakebitten.

Wow. That is BIG news. Are we talking 2011 or 2010 Outdoors? Obviously it's a little late for 2010 SX.

Also is this a prediction or a fact that he's going to Red Bull Honda?? Just curious
