When shooting action shots with quick shutter speeds is it better to use manual focus or auto focus. I am trying to use the manual focus alot just to get better at it. is this a good practice?

i am just getting started with a photagraphy hobbie. i just got a nikon d5000 and a tamron 2.8 af70-200mm lens and wanted to know how far i can take that lens in shoting mx photos for fun. any feedback and tips would be great, cant wait for the sun to shine and start shooting.

If james loses the 2010 season he will be back for 2011 because its his job. If he dosent he is crazy. He has on of the best jobs a guy could want. just a word from a fan who would love to trade places.
