focus?

When shooting action shots with quick shutter speeds is it better to use manual focus or auto focus. I am trying to use the manual focus alot just to get better at it. is this a good practice?

It depends on the camera and lenses you have. If you have fast glass with a fast motor connected to a pro-semi pro camera, you will have a high number of keepers, so use AF.

If you are shooting with slow glass/af and you get a lot of out of focus shots, then manual would probably be your alternative. But AF exists for a reason and if it works well then by all means use it.
