I wonder if those were 300cc engines. How else did they suddenly become so fast on the start? Shimoda would have won with a 125 though.

Didn’t Steve say on PulpMX that Mitch said they think they’ve found something with the bikes and where trying it this weekend

When JT interviewed Mitch in moto 2, he said they found ‘something’ around Southwick, and whatever it is, he said it’ll work indoors and out.

If anyone can build a fast engine, It's Mitch Payton/Pro Circuit

The TV folks have been sooo busy talking about that "Legendary Star Racing Horsepower" and how fast the Yamaha's are I guess they didn't notice. I have been ranting about it for weeks now.

They are definitely fast and if not the star bikes the next best thing. The Honda might be better than it was at Geico but we’ve seen quite a few times this year where Hunter has been pulled on a straight line.

Having said that most of Shimoda’s bike comments the last two years have been setup, so will be interesting if the Honda makes him happy there and the motor don’t matter as much. Kitchen and him are gonna have to be on rails to stop Haiden.

Forkner's Kawi was pulling on Hunter's up the face of the triples at Budds so badly. Jo struggles with his starts already. Hopefully HRC finds some speed in the off season

A lot of the work and testing Pro Circuit does during the season finds its way onto a KX250 next model year. Case in point was the straighter intake boot Pro Circuit used on the 2022 model that Kawasaki incorporated on the 2023. I don't know however if Mitch had also changed the position of one of the injectors like Kawi brought out on the 23' with the new intake boot.

Whatever Mitch/Pro Circuit "found" on the bike, I hope its something that Kawasaki can bring to a newer model KX250

I believe they hired the top engine guy from Honda.  Looks like his insight is paying off.

I think Ryder D might be kicking himself a little more than Jo is.

Would think the ‘25 250 will have the same new engine design (down draft intake, center port exhaust etc.) as the ‘24 450.

I said this in another thread, but if all of PC’s riders are healthy and in good shape (ie not coming back from injury) then they will at the very least be in contention for race wins. I think especially Hammaker and Forkner.

If im a rider Gas gas is the last 250 team i would want to go to. Look at their track record with riders it’s not good. And they have not produced one amateur rider that has “made it”.

In the interview with Mitch didn't he insinuate that what ever he found will work on all bikes?

I believe it’s specific to their bikes.  He was asked if what they found was limited to outdoors, starts etc. and he said it impacted everything.

There was something about the way he said it that sounded like it could be applied to all brands through their motor department not just KX250’s.

I don’t see how you gathered that from the interview. To me it was we found something but stop asking questions about it.

Not a super fair comparison given that they’re not the factory “A Team”, rather “C” or the JV-squad and even then they’ve not been around nearly enough to produce anyone.

When you pull the other teams bike from the drop of the gate until the first corner your not the next best anything.

They literally interviewed Mitch Payton trying to get more specifics on "what they found" that is putting the bikes up front. What do you mean they didn't notice?

It only took them 6 weeks as they continued to gush over the advantage the Star bikes had.. LMFAO!

Very doubtful they’d have taken time to test it on other brands.

The team gets a lot of different bikes in their shop, so maybe (or maybe not.)
