Yes that is what we need. A guy that has rode 3-4 outdoors in the last 2 years.

He was pretty good when he started this year with minimal prep. He was running with Ap and Dylan. Its not a bad pick especially being that he is gamey and rises up to a challenge

If he’s comfortable on his bike and fired up….coop is a dangerous man.

I like Coop but a guy who skip outdoor for two seasons because he doesn't want to suffer the heat anymore now wanna be call in for the MXON ? There is guys that deserve that seat better, unless he is showing tremendous speed on the Yami at the facility and we don't know about it

Reward the guys who have been racing. Enough of this let's pick guys who do not put in the work to race outdoors.

He is going to be waiting a long time. You don't take a guy that has not raced all summer and looked like a lame duck when he was to represent your country.

If Chase can’t go, I don’t think Webb is a bad choice myself.  That race favors consistency and he’s typically been very consistent. It’s not like he was completely horrible in the MX races he competed in this summer (5, 3, 3, 5) with very little prep.  Webb, AP, and Deegan would be a solid team (considering the Kawi riders are out). Webb has performed well at the mxdn before. If Chase can’t go due to switching bikes, I would think either Barcia or Webb (and of course AP) are the best options.

Well, one thing for sure, there is zero risk of intense heat in Ernée !

Mud riding skills are (potentially) much more important than standing the heat well.

He's got one National win on a 450 and likes to take the summer off. He being estimated exactly how he should be.

He's absolutely done nothing to deserve the spot doesn't even race Outdoors and then quit this year when he got challenged by privateers with a fake injury only to show up in a video testing the Yamaha!

Less likely to make the mistakes Plessinger makes. Speed? Probably not. Fitness? Definitely not. Unless he's been pounding out motos all summer while the Nationals have been running.

more to webb not racing this outdoor season than “he didn’t want to suffer in the heat…”

We are scraping the bottom of the barrel this year and sounds like he wants to do it … he is a scrapper and will put in the effort on the track if chosen.

In 3 of the 4 motos he hasn’t performed well at MxDN. He crashed out of the team win in 2016 and underperformed in the first moto that year. The year before he crashed in the final moto as well. SxDN he would be perfect, but that event does not exist. He gets paid to race Supercross.

On a bad day, Webb has 10x the dog than Pless has on a good day

Not saying to pick him but 9 out of 10 Vital experts wouldn’t have picked Bob Hannah for the 125 in ‘87 (think that’s right year) at Unadilla either.

I've always been a big fan of Cooper and no matter if I am a fan or not of a pro rider, I have mad respect for all of them but after his attitude with KTM these last two seasons I'll wait and see. Is it the bike or the space between his ears?

The facts are is that the races they competed against each other this year were very close and they were pretty much a draw. AP's been racing and improving all season and Webb is an unknown on a new bike that Star has been struggling with this year.

Two time SX champ and coulda shoulda woulda been the 2023 SX champ if not for that one weird crash. Yeah it’s not motocross in the 450 class but he is also a past 250 MX champ.
He certainly should be in the conversation with Plessinger.
I am not ok with discounting his outdoor performance by his limited national attendance . Was in between rides.

yal is so ass backwards , yal shit on a guy for skipping out on mxon but when a guy wants to go , yal still shit on a guy , has it ever occurred to some of you that the obvious picks may have something going on where they can’t go??? Anderson can’t go due to kawi not supporting it , chase wants to go & is obviously switching teams but he’s not goona have tht much time to dial in everything, seems like barcia doesn’t want to go based on the recent Steve Matthes podcast , so who else is there to pick???? like honestly…… AP is a lock & that’s it
