Well I did say prudent in medical setting but not say mandatory in medical setting.

Yeah it was rough man, I just saw some Snapchat memories from when I did my last COVID contract in LA, we had our three masks that we kept in a brown paper bag labeled one two and three for each of the work days. But I was working 4 days per week, so it got kind of confusing. That's actually where I was whenever I first got it. Lucky for them it was on my days off. We had a big covid unit, and then a little covid unit. Because I was a traveler I usually ended up in one of the other. It was a gamble, sometimes you sat there and did nothing, and sometimes you had some really sick people.
One night at that hospital we had like 7 or 8 gunshot wound victims, all dead on arrival, I thought for sure it would be on the news. But it wasn't, I guess the demographics weren't right. But then we actually did end up on the news when 2 cops got shot and they brought them to our hospital. Protesters outside were yelling "fuck the police." Such a classy group of individuals

If I am not feeling well and need to be around people, I will wear a mask to try to not spread as much inoculum everywhere, especially if I have to be around elderly or people who already have a weakened immune system. Thankfully it seems like most of the strains of Covid over the last 12 months are less virulent than the initial strains, and I’m not overly worried about my own health but still try to respect the health of others as much as possible. I also rarely go anywhere without hand sanitizer anymore, and I’m glad that it’s become a good habit to use it several times a day. I think that it’s definitely kept me from getting relatively minor sicknesses that I might have otherwise got.
I can say with certainty that I’d wear a mask every day around people if there was a chance to have Newmann back, whether he wanted me to or not…….

I have no idea how Joe contracted Covid. I wish that he were still here to tell me what a dumbass I am fairly often. I also know that if there was a reasonable way to reduce the chances of him contracting it, I’d not worry about trying to be a tough guy who refuses to do such a simple ask.
If you are uncomfortable about attaching a real person to a discussion, that’s on you. It’s very easy to take a stupid position when it’s only hypothetical, but when it’s actually real it can become much more difficult.

My favorite, that I still see surprisingly often over here, is the people who just keep the mask on their chin. Indoors, outdoors, talking to people, whatever, they just have a mask chilling on their chin.
