Who is that guy or who does he work for?

I would be really surprised if wsx is in trouble after 3 races total.

I kinda would too but then again factory riders aren't tripping over each other to line up for this series like they had hoped either.

Nic runs MotoOnline.com, so he's not a nobody.

Hope it don’t fail, a lot of money dollars and opportunity for those second tier riders at stake.

To me the promoter looks to busy trying to be the riders friends rather than wholly solely business though

If I had to guess Germany and Canada will be cancelled, Abu Dhabi and Australia will go forward, and next year's WSX will look a lot different including the dates.

They are going to have to find a way to get Europe interested, and for that they need MXGP/MX2 guys involved.

I really start to wonder aswell. I was actually looking forward to the German round and there is still no ticket sale available (less than 2 months to go). I wonder if they would even fill 1/3 of the stadium here. If they cancel germany I'm super sad but I also wouldn't be surprised, nobody knows SX here pretty much.

Also when I heard that some teams aren't even paying the riders, everything seems kinda suspicious tbh.

They're not making money.

No MXGP/MX2 team will let their guys race, and most don't have the SX skills they'd need.

@Magoofan’s meme is funny af, but I suspect that a lot of riders actually were talking to Reedy and saying they’d love to go race WSX. A paid international holiday with some fun, no pressure racing thrown in; why wouldn’t they?
However I fail to see how that being true or not, has any impact on WSX’s current issues. They seem to be organisational based.

Moto limited/moto online are not the same thing, nic works for motoonline.com , it’s Alex goberts website.

Still no ticket sale date for Dusseldorf or Vancouver

https://wsxchampionship.com/events/

I have not seen a single thing in the local Greater Vancouver media about the event. No ads on radio, no ads on TV. I'm guessing neither the Canadian or German governments are kicking in cash like Singapore and the UAE and I'd be very surprised if these rounds go ahead.

It's been clear since the beginning.  Over promising all these amazing rounds and thinking they were going to attract all the best riders, then retreat their behavior at A1 and act like they didn't mean it that way....and then cutting the series short and then shorter.....hired Roczen who will likely lose a ton in this deal only to have rounds still cancel and now likely more to come.  There were about 10 fans at the first round yet they are spending millions and millions.  That does not add up to anything sustainable.

Alex Gobert owns/runs MotoOnline.

Nic Stills is a contributor for them.

Nic worked for WSX and the current guy running it in the early days…

So far, he’s not been wrong on any World SX info he’s brought to my attention before.

The extended rumor that I’ve been hit with by three different people in the last hour is that they may have lost their primary funding. Speculation is this could be the end of it. This has all just started circulating though, so we’ll have to wait and see.

I just want to see people make as much money racing motorcycles as they can. AMA/MXGP or WSX . It’s a shame if they have lost their funding.

If they lost their funding....I am not going to shed a tear.    Going for the throat or our National series (at least in the beginning) was bullshit.

From DeCoster interview in MXA (print) this month.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE COMPETING FIM WORLD SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP?   DeCoster: We already have 31 events a year at a high level, and now we are going to do more. It is not sustainable. There is not enough talent to have series competing against each other for the same riders and dates. On the business side, the AMA Nationals help dirt bike sales and create places to ride. If it were not for the Nationals, a lot of other outdoor events would disappear.

Teams can't keep people out of the hospital for SX alone.

Let his last two sentences sink in too.

I agree.  Also, I think it's the American riders that are the drawcard - but only the top level ones (read: Factory riders).

A huge shame if it goes under for fans in the affected countries. How bout we take 3 or 4 of the US super duper cross rounds and take them global.
